Lets say Bret stays in the wwf all through the attitude era. Which wrestlers from that era would you like to see him wrestle (that he hadnt already wrestled before)? Myself, i'd like to see him take on val venis, edge, jericho, angle, and guerrero (well, malenko and benoit as well, but he already wrestled them in wcw).

Bret didnt fit in that era. He was the last true hero left. Opposed to the attitude when u had anti-hero's being the hero, drinking beer, swearing degenerates,, and flipping the bird. Not to mention Vince took his product to smut street. I doubt Bret could have been factored in the equation regardless.

He might not have had 3 concussions in one match (which may or may not have been Goldberg's fault).

He trades the belt with Shawn for a couple months, puts Austin over at 'Mania 14, turns face shortly thereafter and hangs around for a few more months as a special attraction, beating a bunch of people who will get absolutely nothing out of feuding with him, then drifts into a primarily backstage role by mid-late-'98.
That's it.
On the bright side, he probably does talk Owen out of the Blue Blazer stunt entrance at Over the Edge, which is worth a lot more than any potential booking milestones.

He could of eventually joined the Ministry of Darkness. Or even been revealed as the Higher Power wanting revenge on Austin.

He could of eventually joined the Ministry of Darkness. That would have been about as fitting as Dusty Rhodes joining the n.w.,,oh wait.

If Bret had stayed I'm sure the Hitman along w/ the rest of the Hart Foundation would have been featured mainly in the midcard. No different to what happened to Bret in 1995 when he was going against the likes of Hakushi and Jean Pierre Laffite.

I think he would've stayed as a top heel. As WWE's stock rose, Bret's would have as well, and he would've become much more of a star than he became otherwise. He'd eventually take second fiddle to the likes of Austin and Rock, but just barely, always being involved in the top feuds with them.
I think Kane might have ended up not getting the kind of push he got if Bret had stayed. There wouldn't have been room for him in the main event now. Hunter's push might also have been stunted a bit. Foley would've still made it, I think, and Bret would've helped him get over IMO.

He'd probably still be wrestling to this day. Since he may have avoided being in the same ring with Bill Goldberg, yeah.

Let's say history transpired exactly as happened. He gets screwed and would get the fued with evil boss Mcmahon that Austin got. Would the angle have been hot enough with him in that role to dethrone WCW? I think so, because Austin, Rock and Foley were there and they were starting to get over. Austin could've transitioned into that role regardless and Bret continues to fued with DX, probably working with HHH for awhile. Bret could've taken Owen's spot againts HHH at WM14. I see Bret becoming an ally of sorts with Austin and gets fueds with HHH, Rock, and eventually passes the torch to Kurt Angle, tapping to him at Mania X8. He also would've finally gotten a match with Hogan around this time.
He retires after he gets kicked in the head by Goldberg in 2004.

Obviously I agree, the best and most important part would be Bret hopefully would have talked Owen out of doing that stunt. As far as how Bret would have fit into things, I think he definitely would stayed at the main event level. Especially with Micheals out of the picture after WM14, although he may have stayed healthy because of different booking. Austin really didn't have enough top stars to fued with in '98. After Micheals left the only former champion he faced that year was the Undertaker, and he lost the title for one night to Kane. It would have been perfect for Bret to become the corporate champion for Vince. Also Austin had never beaten Bret. While not fueding with Austin, I am sure him(and the Hart Foundation if they would still exist) would continue their fued with DX. I believe by '99/'00 he would have gone back to being a face, stepped out of the spotlight for the Rock/HHH/Foley and gone to a limited schedule like the Undertaker and Micheals have now.

I could easily see Bret as Vince's Corporate Champion. Makes sense since he would fit the mold, yet where would that leave Rock and Mick Foley is what I would like to know. Anyway, Bret Hart didn't like the change of direction the WWF was headed into at the time, so I really don't know how much longer he would've lasted if the screwjob didn't happen.
