I couldn't help but laugh after reading those "Charlie Haas got a raise to stay home" headlines and then seeing him back on TV this week.
What examples can you guys think of?

I don't know that it was totally disproved. In the past Vince has given hard workers who decide that they might be better off getting released so that they could work elsewhere raises and/or increased TV time. After WCW and ECW folded, he did not have that situation come up as often, but now TNA is a real option for many people. Sure, TNA may not be able to offer as much money, but a reduced work schedule/reduced travel is a real good off for some, especially guys for whom injuries could shorten their careers (like Angle). Not only that, but a few select workers can combine working at ROH and being a headliner in other indies to still make a decent living as well.

Mike Adamle to be guest host on RAW didn't happen, instead Trish Stratus was which lead to the rumor being quickly dismissed.

- CM Punk is in the doghouse. CM Punk cashes in Money in the Bank and wins the world title.
- Roddy Piper has terminal cancer and only has weeks to live. Roddy Piper guest host's Raw and is still with us, months later.

Beth Phoenix's lack of TV time being attributed to her being pregnant...then she shows up a week or so later and takes the most bumps in the match.

I don't know that it was totally disproved. In the past Vince has given hard workers who decide that they might be better off getting released so that they could work elsewhere raises and/or increased TV time. That's just how a perfect bit of newz is written though. They always take a grain of truth AND give themselves an out in case something goes wrong. Notice the ever-popular "current plans are" or "at the moment, the idea is..." and so on in this kind of thing. The Rajah.com "may or may not" joke is never too far off most reporting. Always a nice easy way to explain it away when something doesn't actually come about.

Ken Kennedy leaking that Victoria was having an affair with Chris Benoit. It didn't take that long for the writer to admit making that up.

Daniel Pena. I hope a wrestler whom he makes NEWZ up about finds him & slaps him. I hate morons who make BS stories to get website views

I'll go out on a limb and say that the Triple H/MVP/screwdriver incident probably never happened, based on that MVP still has his freedom, let alone a job.
