... about the Jan 4th "war" Thread.
aka The I don't have Spike and/or USA Thread (your choice)
Yeah, so I'm in the UK so I don't get iMPACT till saturday... I think. So I'm not really bothered about this whole Monday Night War thing. Yeah the rumors have been a little interesting but I don't really read "newz" so that hasn't made much difference to me either.
The way I see it, it's a lot of fuss about not a lot. We're gonna get two above average shows this week then it's probably gonna go back to normal for at least 3 months till TNA's next quarterly Monday night special. (if there is ever another one)
One thing I am kinda looking forward to is the possibility of creative Anti-WWE, Pro-iMPACT (or the other way round) signs tonight on RAW.
And there's my little grumble ;D

I'm not that fussed either. I don't get Raw until Saturday (and we're actually one week behind) and don't get Impact at all (which is probably the only reason I don't watch TNA). However I am more interested in this edition of Raw than in previous weeks, not just because of Bret, but because I believe whatever happens today will have great effect on the Royal Rumble.
But yeah, it's really not that big of a deal for me.

I guess it's been so long since The Monday Night Wars that people are just really excited that something like those days are happening, even it it is just for 1 night. Also, for me it's just that today also happens to mark the 11th anniversary of Foley's win and The Fingerpoke.

I also can't get as excited for it as the Americans due to us not getting Impact till Saturday.
I did toy with the idea of streaming Impact live then watching Raw but what Im actually going to do is watch Raw tuesday morning then attempt to find Impact on Youtube or Daily Motion.

Yup, no TNA until Saturday I would've watched Raw anyway, but still

Unless TNA wins (or does very well) I fear it will be somewhat anti-climatic.
So don't really care to be frank.

If it helps, what I'm excited about is Kofi / Orton, not Bret or the fact that Impact's going to get annihilated.

I'm vaguely disappointed we don't get them at the same time. This means I can't force myself to skip Raw this week.

I'm not actually going to have any time to see them until Tuesday evening anyway, so I'll just tape 'em both and stay away from spoilers 'til then I think I'll probably watch Impact first. Higher clustersmurf potential. Then Raw. Unless I try to get a second tv out and watch with one eyeball on each, lol. It should be a lot of fun reading through the live threads here for both shows afterwards

I live in Germany and the only way I can watch both shows in full length is through the Internet because we only get the International Cut and that on freakin Sky.
But I am still very, very , VERY excited. Probably even more excited then some of the American folks. I don´t really understand what the difference is if you live in UK or USA. Because I don´t think that ANYONE on this board has a nielsen machine in their TV anyway, but we are all excited. The only problem is that you can´t watch both shows at the same time, but I think I am still pretty excited that WWE has someone to chase them, because that means quality TV again.

I'm not excited because Raw has been atrocious for months now, and particularly the last 3 weeks.

I think Hogan AND Bret suck and have no right to be marketed over talent that can still work so I'll probabky skip both shows
That said the Family's watching RAW

it sucks that i'll have to wait till saturday to watch impact, cos todays my birthday and it pretty exciting to have it happening on it but frustrating that i can't see either.
I'm gonna probaly stay up and watch the raw and impact threads then watch the best/intresting bits of raw on you tube sometime this week

I can't watch either because I don't have television. But I'm sure I'll be able to find one or the other on a certain site that rhymes with "poo lube."

I don´t really understand what the difference is if you live in UK or USA. Usually here, the only boobs in the newspaper are in the business section.

As a Canadian, I missed the choice of the Monday Night Wars because WWF and WCW were both on TSN. WWF was live on Monday, and WCW was taped on Tuesday. Now, TNA is on Spike Tv, and WWE is on the Score. The Score also has a pre show thing, which takes up the first 15 minutes.
But this will be my first time choosing a wrestling show, and as I've said before, I'm choosing TNA tonight, due to the worst Raw ever a few weeks ago.

Not in the US, but still super excited, just because both companies will pull all the stops out tonight.
The Bret stuff will be interesting, as will DX/JeriShow, although I'm still most hyped about Kofi/Orton. If Orton wins, Kofi isn't getting the push that will make him a bona-fide main eventer. However if he does, he's in the frame to win the Rumble. That's huge.
TNA will be cool, but in my mind I still have the feeling that if it's not the WWE, it's not quality. Their stringency on standards has really helped them keep me.

I will assume that you will be in the minority in Canada. I think The Score will "score" big tongiht in the ratings. Yes I know. Lame.
