PWInsider.com reports that one of the surprises on January 4 could be the debut of "The American Dragon" Bryan Danielson. Apparently WWE is very well aware of Danielson's popularity among internet wrestling community and the early debut of him is another response to TNA.

Well yeah, I guess it could be.
I would only mark briefly if this happened though, because Danielson definitely does not belong on Raw of all brands.

Meh. Guess at least if he's on Raw people will quickly stop talking about how he's going to come in and win the ECW title in his first match and start talking about how he just jobbed to Carlito or something.

Can't wait for the stunned silence of the live crowd!
And by stunned silence, I mean, silence because they don't have any clue why another ugly pale guy is on RAW.

Maybe him and Sheamus could start pulling a twin switch. If the referees bought it with the Bashams, it could work so long as you dye Danielson's hair red and paste some cat hair around his mouth.

Most of the internet fans may love him, but that doesn't mean squat if the arena fans don't.

I guess they're trying to steal TNA's internet fans by doing this move, if it happens. RAW isn't the place for him, he should be on a wrestling show, like Smackdown.
No one's gonna know who he is, because the WWE doesn't cater to the fans who do.

It still amazes me how the WWE publicly doesn't consider TNA competition, yet STACKS a show against them.
The WWE has an amazing talent in Bryan Danielson. I really hope they do it right with him and not just throw him out there as a hotshot type deal.

Or a 3 minute match sandwiched between the Bret saga and a Hornswoggle & Santino bit with Chris Master's pecs.

Not even Charles Barkley can describe what a turrble idea this is. He'll get lost in the shuffle within an hour of his debut if he goes to Raw.

I just don't understand why they never put together a vid to hype the debut of a guy. Wouldn't that at least get the crowd kind of excited for it. I know they obviously wouldn't use ROH flim, but they could have had him in WWE "training" killing a bunch of nobodies for the fans to see.

or maybe he'll be part of the "Superstar Initiative", on loan from ECW

His hype videos were awesome...

He's gonna have a 60 minute draw with Bret Hart that sparks a new decade of technical rassling!

I think for the most part the reason the show is so loaded is to start off the first Raw of the decade in a memorable way. TNA running against them is just a happy coincidence since they can crush them at the same time.
