When it comes to Savage, it seems only Oliver knows the true story...

I like to think Savage has just locked himself away, working hard on the next Macho Man rap album to unleash on the world.

Well, the DVD and Hall of Fame induction (which is still a pretty big if) came about 10 years late. I'm pretty sure he has been removed from things too. He was taken out of one of the legends of wrestling games and allegedly the commentators were told not to mention him. It's just a little weird the sheer number of people that Vince has forgiven, especially when none of them could make him anywhere near as much money as Savage could. Unless I'm mistaken, one thing missing Savage is the WWE Classic Superstars line of toys. Yeah, it's just a toy line but that can be taken both ways. I don't even know how many Bret Hart and Ultimate Warrior variations that line had. The line also had exclusive two and three packs for famous matches/feuds. You can't tell me Macho Man Vs Warrior or Hogan two packs weren't worth producing. I do believe Jakks Pacific approached Savage twice about a figure in the Classic Superstars line but as Vince has the final say he vetoed it. Or so the story goes.

I'm disappointed this thread is not about the Voodoo Kin Mafia.

Savage: a) He introduced underaged Steph to his giant Slim Jim b) He took the Slim Jims with him to WCW for more money c) He's Savage and he's f'n crazy
Warrior: a) He held up Vince for money b) Vince tried to steal his trademark for the Ultimate Warrior behind his back c) Vince didn't pay him for WM (full story is in his shoot) d) He's f'n crazy

A couple of years agon I read on a wrestling forum, that the reason for the whole Savage Vince debacle, is that Vince was really close with Savage and apparantaly was crushed when Savage left, and wept during the next Raw taping. Maybe this is a logical reason.

Vince hates Warrior because Warrior did it his way, and left with a s***load of $$$$. No-showing shows and probably costing him money in demanded refunds didn't do much to endear him, probably.

I don't know, but we need to find out. This argument is getting ridiculous and every few months or so this comes back up. Although I think with the WWE releasing a Savage DVD, and one that isn't a burial like the Warrior's, the Steph theory just seems ridiculous. I think maybe Savage leaving the company on his terms, not giving Vince a chance to negotiate, and taking the Slim Jim contract was part of it. I also wonder if Savage just doesn't want to do business with Vince and was that bitter about his last few years in the company, he probably has the power to prevent the WWE from making action figures or him and put him in video games. He is one of the few wrestlers that came into the WWE with his own character that he created and has the rights to. From what I heard from 91-92, Savage had to constantly threaten to quit just to get back into the ring and out from behind the announcer's table. He probably just go sick of the struggle and felt there was no reason to stay anymore. As far as the Warrior goes, it's pretty obvious. Everyone in the company put him over from 89-90 and Vince made him his biggest star. He screwed the company in 91,92, and 96 with no shows. Yet Vince kept bringing him back and kept pushing him. Then he sues the WWE and tries to screw the company over once again that made him. Vince has every right to hate this guy and never do business with him. Also I don't think one wrestler likes him, everyone hated working with him and they all said he was only about himself. If any top star from WWF/E history deserves to never be in the Hall of Fame it is the Ultimate Warrior.
