Okay I am not gonna pretend to be an expert since I dont really get into politics but I just wanna see if I am understanding the current health care plan that Obama is trying to pass correctly...
So, basically, they will force people with no insurance from employer to BUY Insurance from private insurance companies or pay a fine in taxes?
This make NO SENSE and does nothing. I mean come on, how is this any different from what we have now? The reason people dont have insurance right now (for example if their employer is small and under 10 workers and isnt forced to offer insurance) is because they cant afford it, not because they dont want to pay for it. So basically, this will just punish people who cant afford insurance even more with a tax???
Isnt this even making the situation worse?
To me it seems like it is saying, "I will cure this wound by kicking it with my boot until enough dirt gets into it so it stops bleeding". I mean thats an exaggeration, but this is the vibe I am getting from this healthcare reform.
But again, I am not an expert on current politics, this is what I got out from research that I have been doing, so I want u smarter people to tell me if im getting this right?
Of course I have some prejudice since I supported McCain in 2008, but so far Obama hasnt been bad at all, but this just sounds awful, forcing people to buy something...if he wants to give everyone health care, just make medicare for all and have it covered by taxes on big companies like in europe. (I dont approve of this either tho).
