It will definitely be established stars mentoring rookies, and it will be split into two or three "seasons" a year, with the rookies moving onto RAW or SmackDown after each season. There will be 8 rookies to start with, though it is likely to grow to 12. www.variety.com/article/VR1118015260.html?categoryid=14&cs=1

It's a good idea. It'll continue to establish new stars, and it'll be a change from the usual format.
I suspect it'll lead to a lot of future endeavours, though. I can't see Smackdown/RAW having room for 8 people every few months. I hope they make it more like UFC where only one or two continue.
I wonder how kayfabed it will be.

So Tough Enough but with wrestlers who are already trained is the way I'm reading it...
Got low expectations (hate reality tv) but will give it a shot, it might suprise me.

I like the idea as long as it stays wrestling and doesn't pan out to reality

Here's hoping an eventual season will be all women. Solely for the Wrestlecrap that will likely ensue. ...And the fact it may avoid future Diva Searches.

I actually like the idea. Hopefully it'll pan out. So did the UFC I didn't say it was novel or anything. hell, Tough Enough was before Ultimate Fighter, so it wasn't overly novel when UFC started it, either.

I actually found myself enjoying Hogan's very silly CCW show, so hopefully I'll get even more enjoyment out of a show with actual wrestlers as the cast.

This all depends on who the mentors are. If it's CM Punk, Chris Jericho and Mickie James, it's a win. If it's Cody Rhodes, Jack Swagger, Funaki and Kelly Kelly, not so much.

No you're right, thou i think not many casual fans may remember it and may see it as a cheap knockoff of T.U.F, at any juncture knowing vince the show will be kayfabe and all the conflcits we see will be pre written, not a definite, just one theory

I still want an one hour wrestling show, im really gonna mis ECW . Agreed. I think it would've been an interesting idea to give that timeslot to FCW. That way you get a 1 hour development show that IS NOT A REALITY SHOW. Sadest thing is, I'll watch it anyway

So...the roster wil be comprised of 8 FCW guys and 8 established stars. And they'll compete against each other for the chance to go to the "show".
...just eight guys? Kinda seems light. WIth McMahon's sports fetish, you figure he'd go for a "sweet sixteen" thing, but that might be too much for the average wrestling mark to handle.
Right, VInce??!!
Still sounds better than what they had with ECW. Can't wait.
Zach Ryder and "The Thriller" Heath Miller? Woo woo woo?
