They should release Hurricane and then have Burchill be in the audience of the next ECW screaming "I told you! I was right about him!", just to the complete bemusement of everyone around him.

I could actually get into Helms joining the Straight Edge Society as their ECW representative, and start feuding with the likes of Ryder, condemning his party lifestyle.

WWE star Matt Hardy was among a group of people involved in an early morning incident that led to the arrests of Chris Jericho and Greg "Hurricane" Helms, this according to law enforcement sources. Witnesses told cops Hardy was in a taxi with Jericho, Helms and several others Wednesday morning -- when Helms allegedly struck three people ... including one female. Witnesses say Hardy took off on foot -- just like Helms allegedly did -- when the cab driver pulled over at a Kentucky gas station and called 911. We're told Helms came back to the scene and was arrested -- but Hardy was gone for good. Cops are not pursuing any sort of action against Hardy This part of the story has had me laughing for the last couple of minutes. I can just imagine Hardy is so piss drunk he thought he saw Pop n' Fresh and started chasing down the road just so he can get a taste of his doughy deliciousness. That's not a very heelish thing to do. Surely if anyone's gonna get punished, it's gonna be Punk. I suspect the heat level he will receive because of this will be astronomical. And by astronomical, I mean he's winning the Royal Rumble and becoming WHC for at least an entire calendar year.

"This just in, it appears that Tommy Dreamer was admitted to a local hospital after Matt Hardy chased him down and took a bite out of him. More on this story as it develops."

By the way, has anyone seen Hardy since he started running? Nobody seems to acknowledge his whereabouts at this moment.

This simply made me laugh because the image in my head is of Hardy repeating his duck-and-run at Survivor Series 2005 when Undertaker made his surprise return and beat the crap out of everybody in the ring. Hardy was supposed to take the chokeslam and wound up getting heat on himself when he ducked under the rope and got the hell out of dodge. Oh Matthew, is there nothing from which you won't run? (Although, to be honest, I'd run from the Undertaker whether or not it was my job to stay, too).

A little bit more from PWInsider:
Jake Black sent word that WWE changed the Superstar of the Day from Gregory Helms to Cody Rhodes. Given the day that Helms has had, that was a good call.
Speaking of Helms, where his situation is concerned I have talked to at least a dozen people in WWE since last night about this and not one of them is surprised this happened. I think there is a message to be sent by WWE management and received by Helms there, and I think it will happen.
As for Jericho, the general feeling was that Helms caused the incident and he got caught in the middle. One wrestler just told me, only half kidding, that he "should have run with Matt".

This won't affect Jericho at all. Helms, however, is about to become the 3rd member of HeavensDemons. Or start his own stable HelmsAngels

the Hurricane will soon be downgraded from F2 to FE (future endeavors)
Hardy was probably running because he is Jeff's drug mule

Aw, come on. RVD and Sabu were driving. At least Jericho and Helms had the common sense to ride in a cab. I wonder if on Helms's mugshot, he tilted his head to the right for the second picture.

That is absoloutely hilarious that CM Punk was the one to bail them out.
I wonder if he preached to them and saved their heads for their sins?
Also, Christian was involved too lol....guess he was busting out Jericho....the whole Canadian thing.

I'd wait before hammering WWE for doing nothing with Helms. Kinda need to see how this allegation of striking two other passengers and Jericho goes before you can set a suitable punishment. As for the others, are you seriously trying to compare the two? Jericho got caught drunk, doing nothing wrong EXCEPT being drunk in public. Not driving, not operating a vehicle, not speeding while under the influence with pot smell wafting from the car. RVD was driving a car while suspected of being under the influence of a substance, WHILE being their World Champion. The two aren't even close to similar. Had Jericho been driving, I'd be coming down hard on him for being an irresponsible a-hole who needed to seriously get a hold of himself. Ditto for Helms.
