Votes are in for the Final 3 Round. Outside of the video game section (where you all did between okay and bad), those were well chosen especially the TV Show Theme part. Actually I would have to disagree I marked out for the VG category, and the only one I had problems with actually was the Broadway category

And here is the moment of truth. We have three worthy competitors, but only 2 can move on to the finals. After two very challenging rounds, seven diverse song selections and five very frazzled judges, the final scores were 65, 71 and 75. Best of luck for our final three. First up is pegasuswarrior. Its no surprise that the host of WC Idol #1 would be such a strong competitor in this contest. These rounds proved no exception, earning 3 single-digit scores out of 7 song selections. Your choices: Broadway: "Defying Gravity" from Wicked TV Theme: "Where Everybody Knows Your Name" from Cheers 80s: "Alone" -- Heart Video Game: "Techno Syndrome (Mortal Kombat)" from Mortal Kombat Going Solo: "Paparazzi" -- Lady Gaga DDR: "Viva La Vida" -- Coldplay Muppets: "1, 2, 3, 4" -- Feist feat. Sesame Street Characters Next is Michael Hayden: Number Dos. One of our strongest competitors, you also brought your A game with 3 single digit scores. Your choices: 80s: "Every Rose Has Its Thorn" - Poison TV Themes: "Teardrop" - Massive Attack (Theme From "House") Broadway: "Maria" - West Side Story DDR: "Bust a Move" - Young MC featuring Flea Going Solo: "Overkill" - Colin Hay The Muppets: "Bohemian Rhapsody" - The Muppets Video Games: "Halo Theme Mjolnir Mix And finally, SsnakeBite, the No1 Frenchman. You came scarily close to elimination at one point in the competition, but you made a remarkable comeback with strong song selections in the later rounds. You also have 3 single-digit scores. Your choices: TV Themes: The X-Files theme Broadway: If You Were Gay - Avenue Q 80s: Crazy Train - Ozzie Osbourne Video Games: Theme of Laura - Akira Yamaoka Going Solo: Don't Leave Me by Mark Hoppus DDR: Go West by Pet Shop Boys Muppets: Would You Like To Buy An O? This was a very difficult decision, as you all choice excellent songs. Unfortunately, only two of you can move on to our grand finale. The first competitor in the finals, had the highest score song in these two rounds. His overall total puts him at 65 points, and makes him the leader heading into the final round. The first finalist is... {Spoiler}The Cinderella story continues as SsnakeBite, the No1 Frenchman moves into our finals.
Your scores were: The X-Files theme: 1+2+3+2+2=10 If You Were Gay - Avenue Q: 2+1+1+2+1=7 Crazy Train - Ozzy Osbourne: 1+1+1+1+2=6 Theme of Laura - Akira Yamaoka: 2+1+2+1+1=7 Don't Leave Me by Mark Hoppus: 3+1+3+2+3=12 DDR - Go West by Pet Shop Boys: 1+3+2+3+3=12 Muppets - Would You Like To Buy An O?: 1+1+3+3+3=11
Four points separate the bottom two. Both of you competed brilliantly, but only one of you can move on. The person who will continue in this competition, with a 50% chance of being named WC Idol is... {Spoiler}pegasuswarrior, congratulations!! The finals looks to be an interesting contest between a strong favorite and the ultimate underdog. Best of luck to both of you.
Your Scores: "Defying Gravity" from Wicked:1+3+3+3+3 =13 "Where Everybody Knows Your Name" from Cheers:3+3+1+3 +1=11 "Alone" -- Heart: 3+2+3+2+1=11 "Techno Syndrome (Mortal Kombat)" from Mortal Kombat:2+2+1+2+2=9 "Paparazzi" -- Lady Gaga: 2+3+1+1+1=8 "Viva La Vida" -- Coldplay: 2+2+1+2+2=9 "1, 2, 3, 4" -- Feist feat. Sesame Street Characters: 3+2+2+1+2=10
{Spoiler}That means, of course that we have to say goodbye to Michael Hayden: Number Dos. It was very close at the end, and you've been a very strong competitor. Sorry to see you go.
Your scores:
"Every Rose Has Its Thorn" - Poison: 2+3+2+3+3=13 "Teardrop" - Massive Attack (Theme From "House"): 2 +1+2+1+3=9 "Maria" - West Side Story: 3+2+2+1+2=10 "Bust a Move" - Young MC featuring Flea: 3+1+3+1+1 = 9 "Overkill" - Colin Hay: 1+2+2+3+2=10 "Bohemian Rhapsody" - The Muppets: 2+3+1+2+1=9 "Halo Theme Mjolnir Mix: 3+3+3+3+3= 15 The final round will be up sometime tomorrow. I want to give the judges some time to comment on what ended up being a rather lengthy round. Good luck to our finalists!!

Going Solo - Great variety in the choices here.
1) "Overkill" - That voice can either make a song or break a song. It made this one. 2) "Paparazzi" - Remember, Gaga's got talent. This is proof. 3) "Don't Leave Me" - Nice song, but I have to give Gaga's performance the edge.
-----
DDR - As expected, everyone went with licensed songs. Can't blame you for playing it safe.
1) "Go West" - This isn't a great song for DDR. 2) "Viva La Vida" - This isn't a great song for DDR. 3) "Bust A Move" - This isn't a great song for DDR.
-----
Muppets - If I could vote for a three-way tie, I would. Awesome picks all around.
1) "Would You Like To Buy An 'O'?" - I don't know whose pick this is, but they bought the #1 spot. It cost him just a nickel. 2) "Bohemian Rhapsody" - If I didn't have a life-long love for the O song, this would be #1. 3) "1, 2, 3, 4" - No way this deserves last place, but I can't put it anywhere else.
-----
Broadway - The one old school pick was nice, but the new school took the day.
1) "Defying Gravity" - The phrase 'new classic' gets thrown around alot, but this certainly deserves it. 2) "If You Were Gay" - Good enough for second... not that there's anything wrong with that. 3) "Maria" - The bane of anyone who knows anyone named Maria, this song's saving grace is that it's good.
-----
TV Themes - Great choices here as well
1) "Theme from the X Files" (from... um, The X Files) - Iconic. 2) "Teardrop" (from House, M.D.) - This is such a great atmosphere-setter. Great theme, great song. 3) "Where Everybody Knows Your Name" (from Cheers) - Great theme, not-so-great song.
-----
Remember the 80s? - I wasn't big on the choices here, but it's more personal preference than anything.
1) "Crazy Train" - OK, who's back to return the kick? 2) "Every Rose Has Its Thorn" - Just like actual poison, too much of this kills me. But this dosage is OK. 3) "Alone" - The guitar work is great, but Barracuda it ain't.
-----
Video Game Songs - Some not-so-obvious picks, but great work nonetheless.
1) "Theme of Laura" (from Silent Hill 2) - I've always had a soft spot for Akira Yamaoka (to see why, search for Lion Suki. PLEASE.) 2) "The Immortals" (from Mortal Kombat) - If you say you've never screamed "MORTAL KOMBAT!" along with this song, you're a liar. 3) "Halo Theme (Mjolnir Mix)" (from Halo 2) - If you went with the original version, you'd be in the #1 spot. The guitar just seems slapped on, if that makes any sense.

I'm not going to lie... this really, really sucks. I wanted to be in the finals, but looks like two choices ("Bust A Move" and "Halo Theme remix") sent me packing. Sigh... this really sucks.
Best of luck to Ssnakebite and pegasuswarrior. If I can't be in the finals, you two better bring your "A Double" game.

Don't feel bad, I'm genuinely shocked that I made it to the finals, let alone as the leader. I honestly thought that overall, you two had better selections. Well, can't complain about that surprise and don't worry, I'll bring my double triple A game with chocolate chips and cream topping.

The finals will be up a bit later, but first I want to give my rankings for the the last two rounds:
Going Solo:
1) “Paparazzi” – Lady Gaga 2) "Overkill" - Colin Hay 3) Don't Leave Me by Mark Hoppus
DDR…the Revenge!:
1) "Bust a Move" - Young MC featuring Flea 2) DDR - Go West by Pet Shop Boys 3) “Viva La Vida” – Coldplay
The Muppets:
1) "Bohemian Rhapsody" - The Muppets 2) "1, 2, 3, 4" -- Feist feat. Sesame Street Characters 3) Muppets - Would You Like To Buy An O?
"Let's Go Crazy...Broadway Style!" (Suggested by CageKing vs Blackout)
1) If You Were Gay - Avenue Q 2) "Maria" - West Side Story 3)"Defying Gravity" from Wicked
"Another Opening, Another (TV) Show..." (suggested by Undisputed Evil Double H)
1) "Where Everybody Knows Your Name" from Cheers 2) The X-Files theme: 3) "Teardrop" - Massive Attack (Theme From "House")
Song #3: "Hey, Remember the 80's?" (Suggested by "Statman" PKSandman)
1) "Alone" – Heart 2) Crazy Train - Ozzy Osbourne: 3) "Every Rose Has Its Thorn" - Poison
Song #4: "I've got Pac-Man Fever (video game music)!" (suggested by THE Baldy Kendrick, but tweaked a bit)
1) Theme of Laura - Akira Yamaoka 2) "Techno Syndrome (Mortal Kombat)" from Mortal Kombat 3) "Halo Theme Mjolnir Mix"
No comments this time. I thought our final three did an excellent job in both rounds. In a few categories, it just came down to liking one song slightly better than another.

On Mar 25, 2010,at 12:34am, we started our journey with 13 competitors. Through hosting switches, judging controversies, shock eliminations and more swerves than you can shake a stick at, we are now left with two amazingly strong competitors. Pegasuswarror & Ssnakebite, the best of luck to both of you. We know that you will both give your all but only one of you can be... WRESTLECRAP IDOL!! For the championship round, you will be required to choose 5 different songs. You may choose any song you wish, with the following restrictions: 1) You must (with one exception) choose artists that have NOT yet been used in WC Idol 2. 2) One song must be either classical or jazz. 3) One song must be a song by Weird Al (I had to sneak him in somewhere ) 4) The remaining three songs must each be from different genres. Like the finals of WC Idol 1, each song is to be entered in the order they are intended to be heard: Song 1, Song 2, Song 3, Song 4, Song 5. Pegasus' Song 1 will be judged against Ssnakebite's Song 1, and so on. The judges will take each match separately and vote for a winner in each match. For each match you win (by a majority of judge's votes), you will receive one point. Oh, and there is one more thing... You will also be judged by your total body of work. That means that every single song that you have chosen in each round of competition will be considered by the entire WC Universe. Judges, former contestants and thread lurkers will get to vote via a poll for which Idol contestant had the strongest list of songs. The contestant who wins this poll will receive two points toward their total. The contest with the highest number of points when the poll and the match-ups are combined will be declared our winner! The deadline for this will be Monday @ 9PM Eastern. The poll will not go up until all of the entries have been sent to the judges. At that time, I will post the complete list of entries for each contestant (excluding, of course, the five songs for the finale. These will be exclusively judged by the judges). Best of luck to our final two!!
