I've always thought Beth Phoenix should have had a move that she called the Phoenix Down. Though I'm not sure how many wrestling fans would get that.

It's no more obscure than Christian's move being announced as "Killswitch; Engage"...at least I wouldn't think so. It would bug me though if they called it that and Beth didn't get it or didn't think much of it. Not that i'm asking her to make nerdy references ala Cena but if she is completely clueless as to where it comes from or just doesn't care then it sucks.

You really figured that out just now?
What did you think it was before?

I think she's a nerd at heart; when the diva's were asked their favorite superheroine for a photoshoot, Beth said Jean Grey was her favorite, probably a joke on the phoenix. Plus, I want to see her ride a chocobo flanked by a Moggle army. Or at least Eve.

Now I haven't seen any of the shows in a while, but "Killswitch....ENGAGED!" just sounds like something Striker would say as Christian does the move.

Only if she hits it, and her opponent immediately hulks up and beats her. No, no. Better yet. It's her doing a powerbomb, but the opponent always reverses it into an X-Factor ala Kidman. ...and the ring mat should be replaced by carpet before her matches.

Someone's been listening to the Bombcast It also blew my mind. "Down" is such a specific way to say feather that I never took it literally.

Yeah, it took me forever to realize this, myself. I was so not used to hearing the term "down" to describe feathers, I just didn't make the connection.

Wait, what? I must have missed something here. It's the boots. Oh... Wait, is that actually supposed to be the Triforce? I mean, I don't remember seeing such a pattern other than those games.
