Summercamp/school stories like Heavyweights/Safety Patrol
Sports stories like Mighty Ducks/Sandlot.
A kid and her/his dog/cat etc. stories.
Kids facing down evil like Monster Squad/Shadowbuilder.

The films should have age appropriate casting, not Caroline Munro playing a high school student.
