Ah yes, one of the greatest cinematic debates of all time... I've always been a Capt. Harris fan.

Harris, without question. He was a likeable jerk whereas Mauser was just your run-of-the-mill jerk.

Since Police Academy 2 is my favorite of the series, I like Mauser more but Harris is good too.

Though Mauser had Procter first, Harris was a lot more fun to pick on so I'll go with him.

Harris- I especially like when they used the scene in which he uses mace in lieu of his spray deodorant, for his "credits" image at the end of one of the movies.
But in all fairness, I always liked "Captain MAUS-er, yowza YOW-za". He had some great moments, too.
I would also like to bring up all the scenes, in which the Captain and Proctor ended up at The Blue Oyster. And Proctor, himself. A great character portrayal.

I loved/hated them both. They were both great characters portrayed by fine actors, G.W. Bailey (who also did a great job as Rizzo on MASH) and Art Metrano.

Captain Harris. Mauser was a poor man's version of Harris. GW Bailey all the way.
At least Mauser gave us the greatest stooge ever in Proctor.
...Also, I so wanted to do Leslie Easterbrook in these movies.

Captain Harris.
Mauser was ok but Harris was better. He was just more fun to laugh at...especially the situations Proctor would get him into.
