On January 4th 2010 at 7;00 pm, I will be tuning into Impact{I don't usually watch.). I'm hoping TNA grabs me the balls and says don't even think of turning to RAW. When it turns 8:00 pm, I want it to be a hard decision to switch channels, even though I know Bret Hart is going to walk to a WWE ring for the first time in 12 years. I hope everyone on here is excited too. There is almost (To me anyway.) that feeling of the Monday night wars again. That feeling of who's going to show up on what show and what's going to happen next.
I find I'm so excited, I can barely sit still or hold a thought in my head. I think it's the excitement only a free man can feel, a free man at the start of a long journey whose conclusion is uncertain. I hope I can make it across the border. I hope to see my friend, and shake his hand. I hope the Pacific is as blue as it has been in my dreams. I hope.
* I may have stolen that last part.

Yeah, I've waited almost 9 years for an alternative to Raw on Monday night.

I wonder why they don't start Impact at 8? That way they can try and grab up all of WWE's audience after it's over.

Im also excited as well, cuz this is all going down . . . on my birthday! Wat present it better than TNA vs WWE for the first time on Monday Night's, with Hogan and Bret? Nothing for a wrestling fan. Nothing. And we are celebrating my b-day on Sunday and my Grandma is getting me Royal Rumble Anthology Part 1 (The last part I need) and the Wrestlemania Anthology with WM 16 to WM 20. So I'm gonna be watching those building up to 7, when I watch the first hour of TNA. Then I record the rest and flip to WWE. Then after WWE I finish up the nite with the remaining 2 hours of TNA.
It's gonna be LEGENDARY!!

Not as excited as I am for Jan 5th where we don't have two dozen threads about the same thing, but I digress.
Kidding aside, I am interested to see what comes of it, and if TNA pulls it off. If so, I am glad. Hard work should be rewarded. If not, sucks, but hopefully a learning experience.

I'm excited for what the resulting ratings will be for both shows.

I'm excited, as someone said, to finally have an alternative. I hope this leads into bigger things for TNA so that the WWE giant will have to step it up

Even though I won't be able to watch either show live (being in France and all) I'm excited as well. I can't wait for tuesday so I can watch both shows. It really does feel like we're back in the late 90s. That is such an awesome feeling.

Both Russo and Bischoff (sp?) blogged about there being many surprises in store this Monday night. As if I wasn't excited enough already.

I'm really pumped for both Raw and Impact. I really hope Impact does good numbers, so WWE stops coasting. Competition is always good.

If they are going to compete they better get rid of the tape machines and start going live every week. It's kind of hard for me to get excited about watching Impact when I know what is going to happen two weeks before it happens. I don't watch RAW.

I don't think I've been this excited for a night of wrestling since one of the Wrestlemanias a few years ago probably. So yeah. Pumped.

I've stopped watching WWE programming so long ago, even Bret's return means absolutely nothing to me. It's great he's finally over it, but they've just beaten me into the ground so many times it would take...well...I don't even know what it'd take to get me excited about their programming again.
That being said, catching Impact is not a priority for me, but this Monday it is. But TNA at least making an effort for a one off has me very excited. I don't care if Kennedy, RVD, Heyman, Bruno, Gorgeous George, and Toots Mondt don't show up contrary to internet rumors....it's still exciting that at least SOMEONE is trying SOMETHING to make professional wrestling in North America better in a major way and in the mainstream.
Good luck to everyone involved with the show. I hope the effort is rewarded with a large rating and many more Monday events.

This is something I completely missed by not being a huge wrestling fan in the 90s/early 00s. So I'm glad I might be able to capture part of that feeling tomorrow.
Ladies and gentlemen, it may only be for one night, but war has been declared once more.

I usually don't turn into TNA hell I haven't even being into turning into RAW lately due to how crappy the product has been. I have high hopes for TNA and hopefully it lights a fire under WWE's ass too
