Hulk Hogan will be taking part in a media blitz Monday morning to promote tomorrow night's history making episode of iMPACT!. The WWE Hall of Famer is scheduled to call in to The BJ Shea Morning Experience on 99.9 KISW ("The Rock of Seattle") tomorrow morning at 6:50 a.m. PST to promote the live show and he will be addressing the disparaging comments WWE star CM Punk said about him on The BJ Shea Morning Experience before the holiday break.
Here is what Punk said regarding TNA and "The Hulkster":
"My take is first of all that we have Tribute to the Troops on Saturday. That's probably going to be a much better show than whatever TNA is going to put on."
"I have a lot of friends that work there and I do watch the show, but I seem to watch it on perpetual fast forward. I hope, I really hope that something comes of it."
"I have zero faith in Hulk Hogan as a man who is what? 60 years old and tries to dress like he's 18 and lives on the Jersey Shore."
"For a guy I've never met, I've formulated enough opinions about him just from being around him and like his business acumen and stuff like that, I really trust that he's not in this for TNA and he's not in this for the business. He's in this for himself."
"Hulk Hogan, I hope you prove me wrong. I hope there's competition because when there's competition we step up, everybody makes more money, and I think it makes the business healthier and that's what I'm looking forward to, but I don't have much hope."

Should be interesting.
I never in a million years woulda thunk Hogan and Punk would have off-screen heat with each other. Tis a strange time we're in.

I can't wait for Punk to dump out a bottle of vitamins as a subtle jab at Hogan.

It would be awesome if this went on screen and week end and week out Punk and Hogan have promos and shoot on each other.

I disagree. TNA's Tribute to the Gulf of Mexico Coast Guards was a pretty good show.
It still takes Punk two hours to watch an episode of iMPACT!, he usually watches Velvet Sky's entrance for about an hour and 45 minutes.
Hogan's new proteges The Situation and Snooki would like a word with you.
Don't worry. Pretty much everyone formulates an opinion without knowing or meeting the guy they're criticizing. It's a staple in message boards.

Like Punk is in WWE for the good of the business, and not himself...

I'm no fan of the Hulkster but CM Punk is coming across as a bit of a douche here.

I dont' see what he says as being that bad. He says he hopes they do well because competition is good for the business, but says he doesn't think Hogan would be good for TNA. That's the same thing a ton of people on this forum already said without having people complain about it. He says he's formed an opinion based on reports and stories, but haven't actually met him, which is no different than anyone else who has ever posted on a subject they weren't there for and didn't know everyone involved. Like Punk is in WWE for the good of the business, and not himself... Punk wasn't brought in to try to push the WWE to the mainstream, so that comparison doesn't really work. Secondly, if he does well in the WWE, it could very well expose those fans to a different class of wrestling from the hoss-filled rosters they are used to, which would help the business more than hurt it.

I seriously don't see the big deal. Punk to me seems to have the same thoughts a lot of people do, he would like to see TNA succeed, cause competion will bring out the best in everyone yet he just can't see it under Hogan. The same as a lot of people
Those who love Hogan will tune in, those who don't won't. TNA will still probably do a 1.0

let me tell ya something brother!!! This CM Punk guy is running around talking trash about the Hulkster brother and he cant draw flies with a trunk full of crap! You got the nerve to say that Hulk Hogan isn't in it for the good of TNA?? I think my salary of 500,000 dollars per appearance is really fair considering all the money i made in the 80's! I think I am worth all the money, considering TNA only gets around 10,000 buys for their pay per views dude! I will have TNA getting UFC size buyrates within a month guaranteed brother!! And I am all about maximizing all this young talent. You already heard me say we got this young dude AJ Styles here that is really good. Hell he is 38 years old and the next big thing in wrestling, I already have a plan where I team up with AJ and we run wild on all the bad dudes in the back, then he is gonna turn on me because he is jealous of my success and then I am gonna beat him for the title in a squash match at Bash at the Beach! How is that for having great ideas. I also have all these ideas where I manage every young face inthe promotion and lead them to the promise land, and I am gonna do these segments dude in the back where I talk to Jeremy Borash in between matches because that is gonna be fresh and entertaining! And I am gonna do constant promos talking about how I dont think we need writers in this business anymore! And who is gonna listen to a puny little worm who looks like he cant bench press 10 pounds? You don't know anything about pro wrestling brother, if you knew anything you would know that a straight edge gimmick won't work and will never get over! Little Dude for over 1000 years wrestling has been about 2 things... renting cars to go from town to town and taking enough illegal drugs that it would make Lyle Alzado stand up and say enough! I remember back when Adrian Adonis would snort 2 pounds of coke and then dry hump a dead moose before raping a cab driver then driving to Denver to wrestle with Jesse Ventura in a match for over 24 minutes and doing the JOB to Verne Gagne and his wife!! I remember when Paul Orndorf was constipated for 2 years back in the 80's and eventually he puked up the poop out of his mouth and what caused that?? You guessed it Anabolic goodies! Brother you don't know nothing, wrestling is born and bred on drugs and we aint stopping no time soon. I cant wait till i get some of these TNA superstars some of the Hulksters Vitamins so they can get big and strong and people will start recognizing them in the airports, I want people to look at AJ Styles in the airport and go "Hey Brother there goes Jim Powers!" So whatcha gonna do CM Punk when Hulk Hogan and his brown round pythons run wild on you!!

Punk spoke his mind there, and while some of you might not agree with that, people formulating opinions about wrestlers without ever meeting them is a very common occurrence on message boards. I don't see why he's being bashed for something that we all might have done at one point or another (keyword being might have).
