Just went down in the Tokyo Dome in a 3-way between 3D, No Limit and Bad Intention s (Karl Anderson and Giant Bernard), Yujiro pinned Anderson with a cradle to become the 55th champions.
For more coverage of the now on-going Tokyo Dome show, go to the thread in (w)rest.
This thread is so people will know what happened to the IWGP Tag Titles once 3D come back without them.
In other news, Team 3D will not be on Impact tonight obviously.

So does this mean the IWGP Belts will no longer appear on Impact? Thank god. There were too many belts on the roster, it got confusing and cluttered.
I found it hard to care about two belts from a Japanese promotion on an American wrestling show.

Team 3D wouldn't even job in Japan? At least New Japan got their titles back. I hope the Dudleys don't decide to take a trip to CMLL anytime soon.

I'm glad the belts are back in Japan. I don't watch TNA often, but having two sets of tag titles on the same show seemed very awkward.

Well at least team 3-D can still say they have never been defeated (as in pinned) in Japan.

I'm glad they're off TNA, since they were always going to be treated as an afterthought. The majority of WWE and TNA's audeince have no clue what IWGP even means. So it would have been stupid to hype up these belts. Whether they have more prestige is meaningless. To TNA, their own belts are a much bigger deal as they should be.

I'm simply glad they're off of Impact, because, as I said, they were always going to be treated as an afterthought. They had no business being on TNA, because they're too prestigious to just be props, and that's all they could ever be with TNA.
