They can slowly build themselves to be competitors. You would have to be realistic are millions of people going to tune into tonight to watch a Hogan debut on TNA. Are they just trying to see what portion of the audience they can take from WWE for tonight? When Hogan showed up in WCW it took damn near two years for them to really take off with the NWO and him turning heel.
Maybe its a mistake to go head to head with WWE with that national syndication and who have established themselves and big ratings grabbers over the years. Why not slowly build on this thing? Why go for the jugular so early? They will most likely just be disppointed initially. Especially with Bret coming back to WWE and all.
