In the X division match. I had the match on mute half caring. Looked up saw Homicide was clinging to the top? Seemed something went wrong.

He got the match thrown out by bringing a weapon in. He was climbing out, but got stuck and couldnt get out. I imagine Hardy was supposed to come out as Homicide was on top of the cage or something.

Maybe he was supposed to climb to the top, then Hardy would come through the crowd and climb it?
It was horribly botched, whatever they had planned.

They Dq'd Cide/ruled it a no contest for using an ASP Baton and that was it.

I think what ended up happening what was supposed to happen with Jeff and Homicide fighting on the outside. I just think Homicide was supposed to make it out of the cage and climb down first. Instead he had to get out from the bottom and we got about 2 minutes of confusion. I thought the botch would be a bad omen for the show, but luckily it was not.

It was pretty funny how awkward the ending was. I could just hear Homicide cursing up a storm in his head knowing he's totally f***ing up on live t.v.
On a side note, that was the first "Asylum" match I've ever seen and my biggest complaint is the cage. You can't see s*** when they cut to the hard camera so they already lost me before the match even started

You know, I've said that TNA's little screw ups get them in big trouble, and this is one example. It's like with the Last Rites match with Sting and Abyss, you needed to change just one or two things, and it would work. Cause of those two things, we get "Fire Russo" chants when there didn't need to be any.
It would have been better to have Cide just take everyone out, and then climb out of the cage and win. The ref throws the match out cause Cide used a weapon, Cide goes nuts and attacks people. Jeff Hardy makes the save and beats down Cide. You save the anger and you get everything you had planned done, from the Hardy appearance to pushing Cide's crazy side and everythin..

I felt so sorry for him clinging there to the top. Considering Ferrara was there, Homicide was up there, and it was about bringing people back, I'm surprised we didn't see Oklahoma return. We could have the X-Division pull out sticks and start smacking Cide, as Oklahoma went "PINATA! PINATA! PINATA!"

Hey, let's be fair, if you listened to Tenay, Homicide used that baton like a weapon. I had to run it back just to be sure Tenay said something that bad. Batons are weapons. There's no "like". But I have to ask, which was the bigger screw up: the cage match ending, or using Jeff Hardy's music?

It's on my list of things to respect, right by Joe's Haku pants and Low Ki's ice cream.

Homicide's foot got stuck while he was climbing out. You could see him trying to knock his foot out while he was up there.

Funniest part was watching him try and use his head for leverage.

I do remember when his foot was stuck, that I was really worried he was going to fall and break his neck...

Yeah, I was concerned for 'Cide, but thankfully he's ok, and hopefully this means they're building to a Homicide vs. Hardy feud.
I have to imagine, once it was clear he was safe, Samoa Joe was preparing ways to rib him mercilessly.

I have to wonder if the cage cluster f*** and the ensuing bullshit chants are what caused them to quickly pull the plug on the other two gimmick matches scheduled for that night?
Was Bish and Hogan tearing up the script totally legit in that sense?

That's what I thought would happen. I found it hilarious about the "this is bullshit" chants that were LOUD and had to be muted. Sometimes you can't fully understand chants on tv but that was clear as day. It def seemed like something when wrong. My dad was watching with me to see all the old guys return and he said right before Homicide dropped down....."the way this cage is set up it seems like it's asking for someone to fall and get hurt really bad....you could drop on your head and have no chance to turn your weight over to protect youself". I have to agree with him. When they are up at the top portion crawling out you struggle and you are asking to fall down. Is it wrong I was wanting Jeff's leg to get stuck in the guardrail?
