After looking at some of the threads about last night's show, one of the most consistent complains is the size of TNA's crowd. Its true, they rely very heavily on the faithful audience there in their studio. But with last night's show in mind, I ask how long before they try moving to bigger venues? Its actually been a long running question. TNA has needed badly to expand their audience, which they have had some small success in. But now, I think, they are doing something else important: getting the audience energized. By putting on a big show on Monday nights, obviously trying to land a permanent slot there, they are trying to heat up the wrestling fans and get them burning to see a WWE/TNA rivalry. By bringing in Hogan they are trying to expand their audience to even the most casual wrestling fans who only tune in sometimes. With those factors in mind, it is only a matter of time before they start trying to move to bigger venues to draw more ticket sales.
My guess is that before this year is out, we will actually see TNA start to move outside of Florida a bit more. They won't immediately jump into the west coast or northeast on a regular basis, but they will start touring a lot more in small venues all over the south, and they may even look to their first recorded shows overseas, perhaps in Australia or the UK. WE may even see them start to run more live shows on television. But of course, only time will tell.

2009 was the first year that TNA really started doing any sort of shows outside of Nashville/Orlando (aside from specials like BFG). They should have learned from those house shows which areas they can expect to draw the biggest crowds for televised events.

They went to the Palace of Auburn Hills(where the Detroit Pistons play) for Slammiversary.
