Ok dat was mad dumb.
If you dont know what Im talking about, I mean, Drew's loss being "erased" from the record books. That makes no sense and makes everyone seem like an idiot. I mean if WWE wanted to do this cuntraversial stuff, they should just have had Kane do something "borderline" in the match like wait til the full count when Drew is in the corner and then Vince couldve said "Kane waited MORE than allowed time, Ref made a mistake, overruled". But this was just dumb.
What was the point, beside Drew loss anyway ?
Just baffles me.

I'm guessing Drew's going to embark on a losing streak that keeps seeing it being written out, until he drops the Intercontinental title, Vince declares him worthless, and McIntyre subsequently turns face.

I had an idea that came up in the "Hidden MITB" thread that might be at least partly on target. Here is what I said:
On the next Smackdown Vince books a triple threat match involving Matt Hardy, Kane, and McIntire where if Kane or Matt lose they lose their MITB spot and McIntire gets it instead. After about 10 minutes of a real match, Matt and Kane can look at each other like, "What are we doing here?", turn together to look at McIntire with bad intentions, and then team up together to pummel him to protect both of their MITB spots.Following that, Vince runs out of real opportunities to get Drew in the MITB match. Following WM, Vince gives him one last chance to prove that he can be the future champion that he heralded him as. In fact, he can even mention that he has had other chosen ones let him down, but his faith in Drew is strong enough that he grants him a special opportunity. He then declares that the IC title labels him as an automatic #1 contender to either top title (something that Miz talks him into declaring the same for with the US title at the next Raw).
In essence, if you hold either title you can surrender it at any time for a title shot, but the defending champion gets at least some warning (perhaps an hour's notice). This way, the defending champion would have already been scheduled for a match for the evening but he will know that he will have to do double duty.
This will make the titles have more weight to them without watering down the value of the MITB (doesn't need to be defended or give even a second of warning). In fact, it can mean that the title holders face so many challengers that they are usually too spent to cash in their shot. You can also afford to have someone surrender their title for a shot without it working out (in fact, this is how McIntire should lose the IC title).
While the top titles should not change hands often, the ability to control your own destiny can cause these titles to change hands more frequently, often without title holders getting the opportunity to even try for their title shot.
Granted, it isn't perfect, but I think the idea is that Vince is going to go to extraordinary lengths to preserve the idea of McIntire as the next big deal, with Drew starting to let him down. At first, the fans will love Drew failing, but once Vince starts taking tit out on him it could be used to turn him face (seeing as his heel run is going over like a big, wet fart on a first date.

reversing the decision would take Kane out of the match and put Drew in. THey didn't want that.

My problem with the whole angle is that if he's Vince's chosen one, why does he even need to enter Money in the Bank anyway, let alone qualify for it? Shouldn't he be able to get Vince to get him a title shot whenever he wants?

Well, yeah, that naturally follows unless WWE couples the face turn with the revelation that Drew is the son of Velvet McIntyre.

I don't see why he's so pissy about not being at WM.
I mean isn't he the Intercontinental Champion? Take a cue from JBL and hold an open challenge, or take a cue from Miz and ask for an opponent. It's not that hard, Drew.

It's not that hard, Drew. I know, is it that hard to hold an open challenge? You're the goddamn IC champion, how bout you defend it there so you'll be on the show instead of complaining about not being in a ladder match?

You know what they should do? Drew volunteers to make the MITB match a double ladder match, where the MITB briefcase is hung over one part of the ring and Drew's title belt hung over another. That way he can be in the match and it adds an additional element to the MITB match.

I'm kind of thinking Drew might pop up on Raw, lose again to whoever the eighth entry is going to be, then be told of a battle royal for a shot at the title. Which will result in a ten second squash at WrestleMania by, I don't know, Mark Henry? Goldust? Kofi?
