I never had the original Street Fighter IV but I own Super Street Fighter IV. If I download the add-ons for the original Street Fighter IV will they work with Super Street Fighter IV? I know it says they will but I want to make sure I don't have to rent/borrow the first game and have a save in order to get them to work.

Nobody knows? I got tired of waiting and bought it anyway and now I can't get it to work. Guess I'm impatient.

You couldn't wait for a little more than an hour for someone to come in and say the versions are exclusive? Well, chalk that one up to being impatient.

You can use the alternate outfits from SFIV in SSFIV, yes. I think you need to at least have a saved file from SFIV first.

You could have also Googled that question, or gone to the GameFAQs forums and searched for a simular topic if you were getting impatient here. Not that this helps you now, but keep it in mind for the future.

You're not missing much. The only new costumes that are any good are Cammy's Bison look, Dee Jay's much needed make over, and Balrog's bling. Other than that they either didn't do enough (Ibuki, Ryu) or too much (Dan, El Fuerte).
Why is Ken a cowboy? Why is Honda wearing long underwear? Why is Zangief a Colossus clone? Ugh...

No, you have to buy the secondary costumes.

I asked on here because I couldn't find the answer anywhere else. I've had people say on other forums that you don't need to have ever owned the original version of the game to get it to work and they know this because they never owned it and it is working for them. However I still cannot get it to work. Doesn't help that I'm a total PS3 noob. How do you even install an add-on? If it does turn out that you need the original then Sony should have been more specific instead of just stating that it works with Super Street Fighter IV.
EDIT: I got it working. I had to install it from the PS3 store. Kind of surprised how un-unser friendly all this is.

Don't you be hating on Colossusgief. It just doesn't make any damn sense. A lot of the new costumes don't do it for me, the developers were more concerned about showing off what they can do as opposed to creating something that fits the character. Ken's cowboy outfit is just idiotic, and Jungle Dan is funny in theory only, the Fei Long Kato outfit is just plain lazy (he's a Bruce Lee clone, we get it, enough already) pretty much all the female outfits are fan service, and you can only put Ryu in a torn up gi so many times. It's the one aspect of SSF4 I am disappointed by. Tell me how cyborg Zangief makes sense in story and it isn't just the developers showing off and trying to be clever and I'll let it go, but until then it's just wankery.

^ Maybe its a nod to Mecha Zangief, you know the one with yoga flame breath that couldn't block but could take lots of damage.
