I see that album at a record store that sells new and used items. I feel tempted to get it, but not because I think I would enjoy it, but more out of curiosity.

I have this album actually. I often buy albums and let them sit sometimes for moths before listening to them, waiting to be in the mood, I have heard a couple tracks here and there, but not much more. I wouldn't sell it for anything though, Brotha!
Anyone have more info on this album in general, like I think I saw it at Wal Mart when it came out, but I'm not sure if it was mass released or anything, since I wasn't keeping up with wrestling at the time. I guess it was plugged on WCW television a lot?

I actually think Bad to the Bone is a great tune, and I Wanna Be a Hulkamaniac is good for some laughs as well.

Assuming it's $5 or under, I say get it. Yeah, it's so bad it's nearly awesome. I mean Hogan's rapping, everything sounded straight from the 80's except for the two times were they're ripping off Owen Harts old theme. Beach Patrol sounds like music from a bad Video game straight out of the 16-Bit Era and Hulk's the One is so funny after all the divorce crap between Hulk and Linda: They say your heart is made out of stone You got me hanging by a string My friends all tell me you're bad to the bone Please be bad to me CHORUS: You're the one...the only one Hulk's the only one for me He's the man...the only man Hulk's the only man for me You had me hooked from that very first look You got me down on my knees When you turned on the charm, I heard the alarm I should have called the police CHORUS My friends all tell me I'm under your spell But I'm too blind to see You held on so strong and then you are gone You turned the lights out on me ;D

I guess it was plugged on WCW television a lot? They was originally called "The Wrestling Boot Trash Can Band" and started on making this around 1993, I think Hogan was still in WWF at the time but only just. The demo DAT has Hart singing "American Made", some other guy singing "Beach Patrol" among some other very lil differences in other songs, but the main thing was it had a Brutus Beefcake track which never made it to the release. They released a CD single in 1993 (maybe only here in UK?) titled " Leader of the Gang", which did include a track "Hulkomaniac" (later named "Hulkster In Heaven") which would later be on their album. They changed their name to "The Wrestling Boot Band" and released their first album " American Made" in 1994, which was only released in Germany, accompanied with a promo CD single to help promote the album. I believe this was sold generally in the shops as well as the wrestling fan club in Germany. The following year (1995) they rearranged the tracks (and few lil changes to titles) and released "Hulk Rules", which again was accompanied with a promotional CD. They advertised the CD on TV by mentioning it (maybe advert too?), giving fans posters to hold up, also by giving Dave Sullivan a variation of "I Want To Be A Hulkamaniac" to use as his entrance theme. People do give this album a hard time but I personally like the cheesyness of it.

I picked this bad boy up on Amazon for 75 cents. Best investment I've ever made. One of the fun things my brother and I used to do was play the original Grand Theft Auto for the PS1. After the game loaded up, you could eject the game and put any cd into the Playstation. Then, any time you got into a car, a track from that cd would play. So we'd run around town stealing cars and running over pedestrians while "The World Just Lost Another Hulkamaniac" would play. Then hours upon hours of laughter would ensue.

LOL I'd get it too if I saw it cheap. Hell when I saw WRESTLEMANIA the album a few years ago used I bought it instantly!

The "Leader of the Gang" song was done with Green Jellö/Jellÿ. Here's the song (if this violates board rules I will remove):
