Everywhere I go people talkin about Edge/Jericho as a done deal. Edge is winning. This marks his rise to the top after injury. Edge is gonna be a huge face with this win. Edge, Edge, Edge.
Nobody gives Christopher Jericho any chance. And I think this wrong. Well, I think WWE will give Edge the win, but what I mean is that it would be much better to see Jericho win.
Why?
Well, let me show you. First of all, Jericho has had some of the best moments of the year, his new character is my favorite in the company. He does heel PERFECTLY. It just fits him so well, I never knew he had it in him. Second, he is a guy you want others to beat simply because he succeeds in doing what he sets out to do. He is RIGHT and thats why his character is so good, u dont want to see him be right, but guess what buddy balls, he is RIGHT.
Now, what happens if Edge, who is HORRIBLE face BTW, becomes champ and beats Jericho. Sure, it will be a good moment for everybody to be happy because Edge made this come back and became a winner and beat up the bad guy. But imagine how much better it would be if Jericho won.
Here is why :
1. It would be a surprise. WWE is too predictable, they need to throw some surprises once in a while or more fans will tune out. Jericho winning will surprise and piss off the fans which lead to
2. It will makes Jericho an absolute mega heel and build more heat.
3. It strenghens Jericho character by showing he was right.
Anybody else want to see the man who is the best in the world at what he does, beat up and win over the formerly awesome, but now infant "spear spear spear" Edge?
Or do I walk alone?
(Yes I had to sneak Dave in )

Christopher?
Anyway, I want Jericho to win. But he won't. Jericho is only ever used as a placeholder for when the usual suspects aren't able to hold the title for whatever reason.

I'm a big Edge fan, but I really do want Jericho to retain. I'm tired of seeing him used as a transitional champion.

Either Heavyweight title match could have the heel retain to prolong the feud.

I've been waiting for Jericho to have a decent title reign for 8 years, so yeah I'm certainly in favour of him retaining. I've also been convinced since about 2001 that Edge is incapable of being interesting as a face.

I'd love Jericho to get a dominant run with the title. It didn't happen with the Undisputed title (which is what should have happened, him being the first an all), so I can't ever see it happening.

I see Jericho winning for a simple reason: both world titles haven't changed hands in one WM since WM21 (when the Cena/Bats eras began). And since Cena's a virtual lock to regain the WWE Title, that's going to leave Edge out in the cold.

Edge doesnt work as a face for me, so i hope he doesnt win. A christian cashed in MITB case would be my favorite option.

You know, after listening to Jericho last night, he has a point.
"Edge's downfall is his DNA" is not that much of a stretch to believe.

The world title matches have been set up so that either Cena and/or Jericho losing would be painfully anticlimatic- one guy's plagued with self-doubt and the other keeps getting hit with the #1 contender's finisher over and over.
Both guys are stumbling into Wrestlemania with next to no momentum, but judging by the (usual) trend of booking prior to Wrestlemanias, a wrestler often triumphs or fails in the end in contrast to the outcome of their TV match before the PPV. A good example for me was Ric Flair making Orton tap on the Raw before WMXXIV, and then eventually getting "retired" by HBK while Orton retained his WWE Title.
So I've got my fingers crossed for John and Chris.

I've got Jericho for the win so they can start a long program.

Me Me Me!! I love me some SRSJericho, even if he's not as SRS as before. Chris Jericho deserves his WrestleMania moment.

I definitely think Chris is walking out of Wrestlemania still the World Heavyweight Champion.
Doubt he'll walk out of Extreme Rules still the World Heavyweight Champion though.

Not only want (although I like Edge too), but I actively expect Jericho to walk out still as champ.
I've outlined my reasoning elsewhere, suffice to say I think the timing is good for Chris.

As long as Jericho uses a chest protector to secure the win.
