Main event, you have an overated counter-puncher against an over aggressive striker. If it is anything like Silva's prior fight, he will lose.

One of the weakest cards on paper UFC has put on in awhile. Hopefully we get some good battles.
I am looking forward to Silva-Evans. I think it can go eitheir way, and JDS-Yvel should be a good one.

Time for some overinformed, underthought predictions.
DISCLAIMER: I'm horrible at predictions. I have been over .500 with getting the winner, but nowhere close to rounds and method.
PPV Card:
Light Heavyweight bout: Rashad Evans vs. Thiago Silva
"Sugar" Rashad is the counter-puncher who got KO'd by "THE DRAGON!" With no "Rampage" to battle, he looks to make his big comeback starting with a guy known as a puncher.
"No Nickname Apparently" Thiago is an aggressive guy. He's faced some decent competition with in the UFC and shares a common fact with Rashad. Both have been beat by Machida.
Prediction: Rashad Evans -- TKO -- 2nd Round
Catchweight (172 lb) bout: Dustin Hazelett vs. Paul Daley
Hazelett couldn't lose a pound and now this is a catchweight. He's been up and down in the UFC but is currently on a two win streak. One more and it's officially a winning streak.
Paul Daley made an impact with his debut by KOing Martin Kampmann...allegedly. Anyway, he'll look to clear up some doubts on Hazelett's face tonight.
Prediction: Daley -- KO -- 1st Round
Lightweight bout: Joe Lauzon vs. Sam Stout
Lauzon's only UFC loss was against Kenny "Ken-Flo" Florian. He's on a two fight win streak and looking to improve.
Stout has also lost to Florian. His fight with Florian is the only one in the UFC where he hasn't went to decision. Will he finish Lauzon? Get finished? Or are we pulling a Fitch and going to decision?
Prediction: Stout via Split Decision
Lightweight bout: Jim Miller vs. Duane Ludwig Miller is 5-1 in the UFC. His last was a TV Prelim where he won via freak injury to his opponent. However, before that, he was dominating with his striking
Ludwig hasn't been in the UFC since Ultimate Fight Night 3 where he scored the "unofficial fastest KO in UFC history" with a 5 second flash KO over Jonathan Goulet that is scored as 11 seconds due to the "timekeeper's clock running long". He wouldn't mind a repeat in his return.
Prediction: Miller via Unanimous Decision.
Heavyweight bout: Junior dos Santos vs. Gilbert Yvel
Junior dos Santos is a heavy handed heavyweight coming off a win over the legendary Mirko CroCop. He'll have to bring those hands and some good sense with the opponent he has tonight.
Gilbery Yvel is "The Hurricane" and packs quite a bad attitude with a punch to boot. 31 out of 36 wins via KO. He'll be looking to add dos Santos to his victim list.
Prediction: Junior dos Santos via KO. 2nd Round
TV Card:
Welterweight bout: Martin Kampmann vs. Jacob Volkmann
Kampmann's last outing was a loss to Paul Daley. It was disputed that the fight was stopped early. With that knowledge, The Hitman looks to bounce back on TV and work his way back into contention.
Volkmann's last outing was a loss to Paulo Thiago. Not the best UFC debut, so Christmas (Yes, that's his nickname) will be looking to change his luck tonight.
Prediction: Kampmann via Split Decision
Lightweight bout: Cole Miller vs. Dan Lauzon 4-2 during his career in the UFC, Cole Miller has racked up a submission of the night honor along the way. A former baseball prospect, he looks to swing for the fences...I can't even complete the pun.
Lauzon has never had a fight last into the 3rd round. He is making his return to the UFC after his one octagon bout where he lost Spencer "The King" Fisher via TKO.
Prediction: Miller via Submission. 2nd Round

Hopefully Dan Lauzon is not rusty. He has not fought since Affliction: Day Of Reckoning in January 2009

Damn, tough loss for Dan. He looked like the better man but gets caught in a submission. That was a very very slick inverted triangle by Cole Miller though.

Kampmann back on the winning track.
Volkmann...well...there's always next time. Try not running at someone while punching wildly.

Poor Ryan Jensen. Taps and gets an extra ten seconds of beatdown before another tap is spotted by Mario.

lol at Rogan. As if beating Yvel legitimizes JDS but beating better competition in Werdum, Struve and CroCop before did not.

Junior very impressive with his win. He's got quite a list of names that he's beat so far.

Ahhh, Gomi is in the UFC. A little late but with the right matchups there can be fireworks.
