or he should've at least retained possession for longer than he did.
Technically, when Shawn's wife slapped JBL at No Way Out 2009, should that have been been a DQ? I was at the event live and when this happened a few people were rather upset this blatant interference was allowed.
So, who's with me on this point?

She was a fan, if a fan hits a wrestler it's not a DQ.

Why do people always overlook that Undertaker tossed him back in the ring, threw him over the top, THEN beat the living crap out of him?

Scotty 2 Hotty won the 2005 Royal Rumble.
Seriously, he totally did. Hassan injures him preventing him reaching the ring. Cena & Batista BOTH spill out to the floor so are eliminated. Scotty was never eliminated, therefore Scotty won.
S2H vs HHH, biggest Mania main event of all time.

HEY! Maven was never legally eliminated from the 2002 Royal Rumble! BRING HIM BACK VINCE! Yeah, he was. Why do people always overlook that Undertaker tossed him back in the ring, threw him over the top, THEN beat the living crap out of him? But Taker was already eliminated at that point. Maven should've been allowed to continue like Shawn Michaels was in 1996 when Vader tossed him out after being eliminated himself.

Maven should've been allowed to continue like Shawn Michaels was in 1996 when Vader tossed him out after being eliminated himself. That's another rule they seem to play fast and loose with. Hell, Maven only got the opening to eliminate Undertaker after the Hardys, who'd been eliminated, came back in and double-teamed him.

Yeah, I didn't like the fact that they overlooked the interference. I would've liked to have seen JBL still claim ownership and the only way HBK would be able to gain his freedom would be to beat The Undertaker at Wrestlemania. That way, HBK wouldn't have tried to play the heel, JBL would. And it would've been a better story with HBK not wanting to end the streak out of respect for The Undertaker, but having to to gain freedom from JBL.

HBK believed he was the best of all time at Mania. Why would he want to keep someone else's streak that may overshadow him?

I just felt like last year's story was very rushed. Though the match was great, I hated the story of it. I felt that the angle could have benefited from a full-blown heel like JBL on the sidelines.
