The Nasties are not HOF-caliber so I highly doubt they'd ever go in.

I swear I read the title to this thread as 'WWE contracted the Nasty Boys', like they were a venereal disease or something. how dare you describe the nasty boys like that? venereal diseases are disgusting, blotchy irritants that no one wants... okay, fair point.

Good to see the WWE is always open to hiring new talent for janitorial positions.

Maybe to be part of a storyline with ShoMiz facing old teams? ShowMiz wasn't even a team back in Jan., so I doubt that.

Yeah I seriously doubt WWE called. This. To hear it from any former WWE wrestler not in the WWE, you'd think they were busting down their door to get them back half the time.

Quite apart from anything else, if this is on the level, what's Hogan doing telling guys that he felt would add to TNA that they should check out the competition? He's their friend, and checking out a possible deal that could mean better money and wider exposure for them? Not everything has to be self-serving.

For some reason, this thread made me think of a Nasty Boys w/ Hulk Hogan vs. Hart Foundation w/ Vince McMahon in a "Jimmy Hart On A Pole" match.
I should probably go to sleep.

*BREAKING NEWS!!!!!!!
KrisKKobainNewz@WrestleCrap is reporting that the Nasty Boys called Vince McMahon and said that they would be willing to sign a contract one month from Friday. Vince responded that it wasn't worth the weight.
We'll have more on this exclusive as details become available.

WWE contacted them, because they realised that they'd never wished them well in their future endeavours back in 1993. They would have done it sooner, but hadn't realised they were still going.
(And considering the Nasty Boys claim that they still believe they're part of TNA, because they haven't heard from them, yet only had a 90 day contract, I'd say that they're either trying to work the press to get their name out there, or just dumb).

I don't find it a remotely ridiculous concept that the 'E would contact the Nasties, they gave them a tryout match a few years back after all. They've regained some mobility (Now they're on a par with an oiltanker, rather than a moon) and gotten rid of some ring rust in their stint with Hogan and in TNA so yeah...
I find it ridiculous that the 'E would want them given their attitudes, but they've resigned stranger people, Henry O' Godwin for example.
