This thread does not intentionally include any spoilers.
Since the debut of the Money In The Bank briefcase all 6 men who have cashed it in have won whatever title they were going for. Currently the record for the longest title reign after cashing in was Edge's 2007 World Title reign, which would have been much longer had it not been for injury.
Poor C.M. Punk. Orton gave him the Kickhead a day before he woulda tied the record.
Anyway, where will The All American American end up?
Edge (2007): 70
C.M. Punk (2008): 69
C.M. Punk (2009): 49
Rob Van Dam: 22
Edge (2006): 21
Jack Swagger: 14 (and counting)

I'll bet they're planning Orton to be drafted to Smackdown so I wouldn't be suprised if Orton beats Swagger.

Wow...honestly, I never realized how short these title reigns were. Sad thing is they're actually pretty long compared to what a title reign normally lasts these days. |

I am definitely interested in seeing Swagger develop as a World Champion, however with the Viper looming ahead. I see a short title reign for Swagger!

Actually, I think Swagger will retain against Orton at Extreme Rules. I figure that Swagger will cheat to win (or get DQ somehow) and leave for Smackdown as the champ. The very next night is the draft and Smackdown's newest wrestler wants a rematch.
This way Swagger can look compitent and get over a bit, and Orton stays red hot by chasing the title. I always think that the fan reactions die down a little bit once the face finally beats the heel for the belt. Cena, for example, always seems much better chasing the belt than actually holding it.

I think Cody will return from selling the punt he took at 'Mania and either cost Orton the victory, or distract him at a key moment allowing Swagger to surprise him and pull off the win. |

Technically, wouldn't it the Batista-meter since Sammartino held the WWE Title whereas Swagger has the WHC and Batista has held it the longest. For those wondering, Batista's reign was 282 days, barely edging out Trips, who held the title for 280 days during the "Reign of Terror". |

Trips was more unbearable in my mind because...
a.) I was a hyooge Batista fan
and
b.) Every so often Batista lost a damn match.

I'd say he's got a good chance. At the least, I'd say he'll survive Extreme Rules (just put the match in the middle of the card and shenanigan it up), feel invincible, then, ruh-oh Shaggy, Orton gets drafted to SmackDown to eventually win the belt.

I really don't think he stands a chance, though I hope I'm wrong. I used to be an avid Swagger hater, but he's really won me over since WrestleMania. Dropping the goofy idiot personality is really working for him.
