Swagger should at least hold the belt until the Fatal Fourway PPV in June (and ugh at THAT concept), where they can do the obvious Swagger vs. Orton vs. Jericho vs. Edge match. That is under the assumption that none of those four men get drafted to incompatible brands, but then that never stopped them before, although they're pretty good about that kind of thing during non-WM seasons.
I say Swagger just barely gets by Orton, perhaps due to interference by a returning Rhodes (as suggested above), Swagger defends against Edge at the May PPV while Orton blows off his feud with Rhodes, then the angles come back together at the June PPV. I'd have Swagger retain again, have Orton win the Money in the Bank briefcase at the Money in the Bank PPV in July, and cash in on Swagger to complete the circle. But Swagger NEEDS to hold the belt until June AT THE VERY LEAST. Seriously, enough with the yo-yo belts.

He's gonna break Sammartino's record baby! YEAH! Start the Sammartin-o-meter cause the All American World Champion is riding the train of fun right to it's destination of a long title run! Choo Choo! WE'RE RUNNING ON GUTWRENCHES BAY-BAY!

I think it's pretty safe to assume one of those men will be on Raw following the draft but with Teddy Long as SD GM there is always the subtle replacement... THA UNDARTAKAH!!!!

Yeah, I think he'll retain. He'll screw Orton out of the title and then intend to run to Smackdown, until the Viper himself gets drafted over.
That'll make it 43 days if he makes it to Over the Limit. That's decent enough.

Technically, wouldn't it the Batista-meter since Sammartino held the WWE Title whereas Swagger has the WHC and Batista has held it the longest. For those wondering, Batista's reign was 282 days, barely edging out Trips, who held the title for 280 days during the "Reign of Terror". I hate the fact that Trips' run is referred to as the reign of terror, but Cena's 2005-2007 run isn't.

no way 70 days is this many months. (you can't see but I'm holding up some fingers.)
Why did I just think of Swagger losing the title via cattle prod? You don't cattle prod a horse. WWE prestents straight to dvd Mr. Ed finds love starting Jack Swagger as Mr. Ed and Mickie James as Mickie the horse. With a walk on by Cody Rhodes for no apparent reason.
Michael Cole gives it 5 thumbs up then finds out Bryan loves it and rates it "The worst thing since Bastion Booger eating 6 large pizzas in front of a crowd of 500 people in a high school gym."

It's funny how much better a champion RVD was than so many contemporary ones. He was a fighting champion, defending both his belts on virtually every show the entire time even though it was only a short reign. That's a real champ.

Swaggah should embrace the late-80's and early-90's and call his finisher "Whatamaneuver!"

I figure that Swagger will cheat to win (or get DQ somehow) and leave for Smackdown as the champ. It's an Extreme Rules match, a DQ finish isn't too likely. I think Cody will return from selling the punt he took at 'Mania and either cost Orton the victory, or distract him at a key moment allowing Swagger to surprise him and pull off the win. The All-American American Dream?
