Just Joe. The guy who started rumors backstage about 10 years ago. I barely remember he wrestled once against somebody and lasted like 30 seconds. This, a thousand times this. He wrestled Dean Malenko, lost, and pretty much did a whole lot of nothing after this. |

This is a tough one to answer because everybody's definition of pointless varies.
I don't think it's really fair to list jobbers or non starts(Kazarian, Vansen, etc) since they really didn't get a chance to do anything. I would also be reluctant to name guys like Jindrak and O'Haire because they were given actual characters that either didn't get over(Jindrak) or were screwed up by lousy booking and perfomer personal issues(O'Haire).
I also have to disagree with Mideon being named. Even if he was a lackey, he was there for a reason. He was there to take the beatings so that the main heel didn't have to. It may not be glamorous but it is a very important role. Plus he was tag team champions in the Godwinns and given a major storyline with Sunny so I'd hardly call him pointless.
This is a hard thing to determine, because even jobbers have a point on the show. They fullfill an important purpose. Guys who fizzle out or fail to even start, still have a purpose. They just fail to live up to it. Pointless to me means something has no purpose. It's just put out there without any direction or goal in mind. Even Just Joe played a role in the storylines, stirring things up backstage.
That's a long winded way of saying I can't think of anything.

Aside from the Devil's Advocate gimmick, Sean O'Haire's WWE run was pretty pointless. His former partner Mark Jindrak was even MORE worthless. Jindrak kinda got over as the Reflection of Perfection, though |

Its hard to say, Just Joe, Uncle Elmer, Bam Neely are all good picks. knuckleball was just a gimmick not a wrestler he was played by Brooklyn Brawler one of the most significant jobbers in wwf history after Mike Sharpe.
Hey what about Pierre the pirate Laffite!!
Braden Walker is a ICW legend so he has to be less pointless than Bam Neely or Just Joe.

I know his name is a big joke around here, but Braden Walker honestly has to be considered. He went from being in a prominent tag team in TNA to losing once or twice on ECW, then disappearing.

Scotty Goldman too. Even with all the internet fans, the guy sucked and his webshow was awful and about as funny as AIDS.

Believe me, I have tried. There are certain topics that are off limits to comedians: JFK, AIDS, the Holocaust. The Lincoln assassination just recently became funny. I need to see this play like I need a hole in the head. And I hope to someday live in a world where a person could tell a hilarious AIDS joke. Still one of my dreams. |
