Eric Escobar. The guy contributed jack and if you can't draw heat with Vickie Freaking Guerrero as your manager then you are just wasting valuable air time.

How about Iron Sheik as Colonel Mustafa? Especially when he captained that tag team at the 1991 Survivor Series? When a past-his-prime Iron Sheik is the MOST credible person on your team, you have problems.

Basically from 1990-1997 WWE was treading water and apart from Diesel, HBK, Hart, Austin and Goldust they had tons of crap and relied on alot of nostalgia (which didn't last long when Savage, Flair, Hogan and Warrior left) and alot of crap gimmicks where their wrestlers all had a second job. I don't know it's kind of hard to take a company seriously if half of their wrestlers had to take up second jobs to make ends meat looking at you IRS (tax agent), Duke Drosse(garbage man, Papa Sango (witch doctor), Jeff jarrett (country singer), The Godwinns (pig/hog farmers) and Issac Yankem (dentist). So if you want to make a list of most pointless wrestlers you can basically put the undercard of WWE circa 1995-1997 and you'd have a huge list.

I wouldn't imagine that being a Witch Doctor pays very well.

Lesser examples are Brutus "The Barber" Beefcake and The Big Bossman(as a correctional officer).

Lesser examples are Brutus "The Barber" Beefcake and The Big Bossman(as a correctional officer). Well I did include Jarrett and IRS who I did like and while I do not think they were pointless it didn't make sense that they had second jobs, especially IRS who was tax agent who probably could make more money working for the IRS and not wrestling. and honestly Brutus didn't debut as a hairdresser that happened because of the Piper-Adonis match, honestly Bossman on the surface was dumb why would a correctional officer also be a wrestler? But it worked same with the Undertaker but honestly no one else could have made that work. More I was mocking the overuse of having wrestler having second jobs especially in 1995 it just was bizarre and that made the whole product of that era look cheap. So the moral of the story is if a wrestler is given a pointless gimmick it can work but 95 % of the time it fails and if done to much it will look really bad.

Apart from bringing us Elijah Burke, did Sylvester Terkay do anything that mattered?
