I've never seen the PPV. The only snippets of it I've seen were the ending of Punk vs. Taker and the Botchamania that featured it. I've read many reviews about the show though, and it sounds like a terrible PPV. Anyone willing to fill me in on this show?

John Morrison vs Dolph Ziggler was good. Randy Orton vs John Cena was good. DX vs Legacy was good.
I didn't think it was bad show at all. The problem was that while 2 of the Cell matches were good, they really didn't need the cell for them (with the exception of stopping Rhodes and DiBiase from interfering in the Cena/orton match).

I've read stuff that said that the first 2 HIAC matches didn't even use the cage.

Here's my review from right after the PPV.
Punk vs. Taker: Weak, Horrible Booking, Flat, etc... Now I didn't hate that Taker won, I hate that he won in 10 minutes. He's clearly not 100% or even 75%. Just a stupid match layout.
Also let me say this match was good until the crappy booking came in.
Morrison vs. Ziggler: This was a really good match that showcased these guys. The crowd didn't care, but I did.
James vs. Fox: Should be on RAW, it was a pretty good Diva's match, but NO ONE CARES ABOUT THE DIVA'S! (Well I don't)
JeriShow vs. Rey/Tista: The crowd loved this match and I loved this match. I thought it was an awesome tag match.
Orton vs. Cena: This was a good match, but a flat HIAC. Get what I saying. If this wasn't HIAC, it would have been really good.
McIntyre vs. R-Truth: By putting this match on the PPV, that didn't need to be, WWE better push the f***! out of McIntyre.
Kingston vs. The Miz vs. Swagger: Take the Diva's match off & McIntyre you give this match and Punk/Taker more time.
Anyway this was a good match, just like all the multi-man US title matches lately.
Triple H and Shawn Michaels vs. Cody Rhodes and Ted DiBiase: This was the best HIAC match (Not hard to be). Legacy even in loss again looked good. Yeah there was no blood, but this match was brutal in a good way.
Overall: This PPV would have been REALLY good, it was still good (not good enough), but it would have been REALLY good without the HIAC label.

The DX/Legacy match was pretty solid, nothing groundbreaking, but it did have some decent (if basic) storytelling.
Punk/Taker was just a normal match that just so happened to be inside the cell. Even worse was the fact that it was a pseudo-squash.
Cena/Orton was typical Cena/Orton, a dramaless, emotionless, painfully average in every way encounter that didn't even try to use the structure.
Not to mention a TERRIBLE Drew McIntyre match (and that's saying something, given what Drew has done so far in his current run) which was made even worse by the fact that it was his debut (for this run, anyways) match.
No sir, I didn't like this PPV.

I've read stuff that said that the first 2 HIAC matches didn't even use the cage. The Cage was just kinda there.I really don't remember the PPV that much.Stupid waste of a gimmick, that they are doing again this year.

Oh it was terrible, man. The only watchable match on it was DX vs The Legacy.

Yeah, the Legacy/DX match was the only one to use the cage, and it was pretty good from a storytelling standpoint. I've actually been wanting to watch that match again but I can't find it anywhere online.
Nothing really stood out in the rest of the PPV.

Lack of blood and PG creative direction have basically made the HITC match worthless.

I was there.
Punk/ UT was too short. I liked Morrison Ziggler but the crowd was dead after the UT winning the title. The Divas match was pointless. The Tag title match was fun live match that the crowd was really into. The crowd (ok me) was hell bent on not liking the Cena Orton match. I have no idea why everyone was so pro Orton. The other two matches were kinda just there. The Legacy vs DX match was alright but it was too damn long of HBK getting beat up. Seriously it shouldn't have taken HHH that long to find the bolt cutters as it killed the crowd.
Also I hate scapegoating the PG rating. It was a bad PPV because it was badly booked.
