My guess, give it three months and TNA'll be debuting their own ripoff of Hey Mickey. Maybe they'll go the RVD route with their rip-off... *riff* MIC-KIE JAMES!!! *riff* YOU'RE SO FINE!!! *riff* MIC-KIE JAMES!!! *riff* BLOW MY MIND!!!

I'd mark if SMJ and Wang had a tag team in ROH. I really loved the tag team work they were doing a few months ago.
And if Shelton and Mickie don't end up in TNA I'll be very, very surprised.

WWE released the move over female on the roster?
That's a big WTF from me.

If Beth ever gets released, I'm done with WWE Divas. She's the only one left that I can stand to watch now that Gail has suddenly transformed into a mediocre wrestler.

This gives leverage to my theory that Shelton stayed on the payroll for his MITB moments. The one year he doesn't do something crazy? BAM! RELEASED!
Johnny Ace: "Shelton didn't do his huge bump this year." Vince McMahon: "Why else is he employed?" Johnny Ace: "I...don't know."

I still don't think Mickie will go to TNA. She's a country singer now.

UP TO FIVE WWE RELEASES TODAY By Mike Johnson on 2010-04-22 17:28:28 PWInsider.com has confirmed there were several WWE talent releases today, possibly up to five names. We are aware of names that are circulating within the company but want to double check our sources before we report them. Stay tuned. ================= WWE has come to terms on the release of WWE Divas Mickie James and Katie Lea Burchill as well as Superstars Shelton Benjamin, Kung Fu Naki, Slam Master J and Jimmy Wang Yang as of today, April 22, 2010. We wish them the best in all future endeavors. I just heard this and I'm absolutely speechless. Can't really speak to Slam Master J, but Wang Yang, Funaki, Katie Burchill and but most shockingly Shelton Benjamin and Mickie James were all real talent and well liked by the fan base. For the WWE to just dump them is, while not shocking in the case of Wang Yang, Funaki and Benjamin, it is STUNNING in the case of James. I honestly have to ask why. Why cut some real talent who had the fan base, COULD actually wrestle but never really got the shot? Stunned. Absolutely stunned.

I think that Shelton and Wag Yang will show up in TNA. If Mickie's music career bombs she'll show up, but I doubt she'll be there right away.

Hawkins is a emo in FCW now believe it or not. Shelton Benjamin? Nothing of value was lost... Jimmy Yang? Long time coming but he jobbed in his first match so you know they didn't plan on using him THAT much. Yeah, I know, but does anyone really care enough about FCW to count it? Sure, without FCW we wouldn't have the great, innovative programming of NXT. I mean damn, man, they carry KEGS around between matches, I haven't seen stuff like that since I played Donkey Kong Country on my SNES.

Why the f*** would WWE let go of Mickie James and Shelton Benjamin? Mickie James was one of the few women who can wrestle. I guess with Tiffany the have their quota. Shelton Benjamin is an awesome wrestler who is good at putting others over and is used effectively in spotfest matches like MITB. As talented as I thought Funaki, Katie Lea and Jimmy Wang Yang were, they were barely used in WWE, so at least this makes sense. Slam Master J sucked.

If you agree to sign a contract with a "90 day no-compete clause" even if it expires, then you're bound to it, because you've signed it. And considering the WWE tends to have the upper hand in most contract negotiations, most talent can't afford to turn it down. From my understanding, if a wrestler is released, he/she still gets paid over that 90 day period where they are not allowed to work for a rival company. So if that is true, and Shelton's contract was set to expire anyway, why would WWE fire Benjamin and pay him for 90 days when they could have just let him expire and not pay him past the expiration date? I could understand the 90 day clause if someone had a year remaining on their deal, but if it was set to expire, the WWE would be stupid to release them only to pay them for longer than they would have if they simply kept them. We would have to know how the contracts are structured to know for sure. Unfortunately only the wrestlers know that.

Donkey Kong Country kicked ass, whereas NXT is about as entertaining as a rectal thermometer! Cranky Kong should teach you a few lessons, you pesky young'un!
