For the longest time it was Billy Gunn or Bob Holly, then it became Funaki, now who will be the longest reigning "WTF? that guy is still on the roster? Why?" I would have nominated Shelton as Funaki's replacement but he isn't even talented enough to be that guy. Chavo maybe? Mark Henry? Although Henry has had too much success to be that guy. Chavo has Vicki the best heel in the business.

You know what's weird about the Mickie release? She was still in an angle, partially I'd admit, but she was part of that feud with Beth and the McCool Faction. So, they pretty much screwed beth out of an ally. There's always....Tiffany. Dammit. I would mark HARD if Beth used Tiffany as a weapon and swung her like a kendo stick. |

I doubt she'd be using the Alexis name again - why do that, when her real name is the one that everybody knows?
My guess, give it three months and TNA'll be debuting their own ripoff of Hey Mickey.

I'm sad for Mickie, Shelton and Funaki, but I don't think it's a massive loss to the product. Mickie and Shelton will go to TNA though.
Hopefully they'll give the job of "black guy who sticks around for years without ever getting past the midcard" to the more-charismatic JTG. I love that guy.
Funaki......... it's just sad. I can't believe he finally got cut. Was he really there just to keep HBK company? Is it just HBK in a suit? We'll never know.
