We watch them on TV for years, yet cannot create a "Tribute to ____" thread to discuss the memories without it getting locked? Congrats on having the most over-moderated forum on the Internet. Probably would've been better if the subsequent "Tribute To _______" threads weren't obvious mockeries of the first one. I see it as Steveweiser providing us with a damn good template.

Question: Is it cheaper to hire a local talent for a minute-long squash on TV rather than keeping four or five wrestlers on the payroll for that job?

We have this thread for that and if people didn't treat things like jokes and run them into the ground, it would be different. And may I suggest if you do not like the way the board is run, take it up via PM, AskAMod or, leave.

[Personally I'd can the Bellas, Kelly Kelly Kelly....Kelly, Savannah and Rosa Mendes, and just raid SHIMMER for their best looking women. Yeah, but someone like Batista probably doesn't want to date the hottest women from shimmer. I mean, seriously, that partly why I think so many bikini models get signed. There was an old observer report that flat out said they were doing another diva search simply to please the guys in the lockerroom, because after the contest is done you always have all these hot women hanging around.

You do realize that you plenty of threads pop up every week about wrestlers who have long since left the company, and they don't get deleted. Separate threads were created because it's very difficult to carry on a coherent discussion of 7 different wrestlers AND the more general idea that WWE is letting a lot of talent go, in a single thread...

I'm not trying to be confrontational it's just why should that one stay up if this thread is for general discussion?

You admitted in the Funkai thread that they were spoofs, that may have been what got them locked. No use pissing and moaning about it now.

No, they were put up as spoofs of the original and are staying locked. So why did Mickie's one stay up? I'm not trying to be confrontational it's just why should that one stay up if this thread is for general discussion? Mickie one was the first started and genuine so it was left unlocked originally. Now, no more discussion of it in this thread please. Anymore can go to AskAMod.

As I said in Ask a Mod. If anyone wants to do a thread about a certain wrestler who has been released and discuss their favourite matches, angles etc. about that wrestler, then that's absolutely fine. All we ask is that it doesn't start with a parody. The threads in question were locked because they all followed the same format, opening in what can be seen as a jab at another poster (even if it wasn't intended that way).

That's kinda sad, and totally believable, which makes it even sadder. The WWE comes across as some kind of boy's club at times, there's a certain few guys at the top who basically just run things.

For the record, I had no problem with the Tribute threads to the other guys, even if they were spoofs. It's when I saw the Mark Jindrak one that it went too far.

I realized several weeks ago that WWE.com has live chats with wrestlers during RAW, so I decided to check it out. Katie happened to be a guest that week, and I was amazed at some of the non-PG, sexual references she made, so i took a couple screenshots. Here they are, in memory of Katie: (might need to right-click and hit "view image" to see full-size) Referring to Cena's "member," if you will: {Spoiler} Referring to sex with Batista:

Katie was hilarious there. But was so saying those things to get some attention, everyone was ignoring her and talking to Ziggles.

1. Mickie James - Honestly she got old after her angle with trish and was never fun after that, her character was just lame and she never really done anything interesting. No big deal. Plus she tries to betray wrestling by doing music. So what's it like being brainwashed? Sometimes it feels like the WWE is scientology which, of course, makes Cena their Tom Cruise. Cena in robotic, monotone voice: "Wrestling is life. The Rock betrayed wrestling. WWE is home. Hail L. Ron Hubbard Vincent K. McMahon."

Actually I haven't watched Raw in months but I agree that Mickie's not that big a loss. I'm not cosigning the "Betrayal" idea but I have long lost interest in her. Ditto Shelton, both were just spinning their wheels at this point. Everyone else in non-incidental. I'd never wish for them to lose their jobs, but they weren't adding anything of outstanding worth to the E, and now have a chance to work elsewhere and do other things.

Not really a rough break, well, literally a rough break I suppose. If it is true, he was engaged and she enabled him to cheat on his fiancee; they are both as bad as one another but there is no way WWE is going to put the cash cow at risk, and so I don't have much smypathy for her on that count because she must have realised that. Pretty much. If any of that's true, let's not paint Mickie as the 'innocent damsel' in the whole thing. It takes two, and everyone makes their own choices.

I think Mickie in TNA is a bad idea. They'll bring her in for lots of cash (pissing off most of the other knockouts who earn peanuts) and, while she's a step above the likes of Lacey and Velvet, she's still a fairly sloppy wrestler. So, it's not like the quality of matches will get better. I can't see her drawing either, since history as shown as it's the homegrown woman that draw (Kong, ODB, The beautiful people.)
Yeah, I can't wait for when Hamada and Sarita get released to make room for her and Maria.
