On another note, I recently found Horror Express on archive.org, a great site for public domain films/literature/radio shows. Stars Peter Cushing and Christopher Lee and I've heard good things, so it should be fun whenever I can actually get to...it. At this point I'd guess that I'm going to skip Legion, but I've still got a chance of watching the film. I've got a copy of HORROR EXPRESS. It's pretty fun. Telly Savalas is probably the best part of the movie, though there's a hot redheaded countess around. Mmmmmmm, redheads... Also, I found a copy of EXORCIST III at my local Big Lots for 3 bucks. As you recall, I really dug that scene someone posted a few pages back, so I decided to snatch the whole film up. ;D

What's the deal with this new movie "Splice?" These two scientists create a kangaroo woman in a lab? That movie looks weird as hell. Don't know if I will check that one out

Hell, even the title almost suggests this: SPLICE with one more "I" would be SPLICIES, a wierd combination of the two words.

I've read several really good reviews of Splice, but the consensus seems to be that while the ads are portraying it as straight horror, the actual tone of the movie is something closer to Re-Animator. Which, if true, pretty much guarantees my ticket.

After seeing the trailer for Splice a few times now, and watching some extended clips I'm conviced the trailer is a lie. It seems to me to be a Sci-Fi movie being posed as a Horror movie in trailers for some reason. Even the baby scene is not played in a horror manner if you watch the extended clip of it. It's strictly the little baby being scared.

I just hope it moves into my "Hot Monster Girl Fantasy" direction at some point. What? WHAT!?

I've been excited about it ever since they shared some of the creature effects on DreadCentral. It ought to be a fun time, although I get the feeling that it's going to be a weird movie about the ramafications of playing God improperly. However, I will say one thing...This... {Spoiler} ...Looks hilarious out of context.

ANY time Brad Dourif gets the opportunity to play a creepy psycho...I'm THERE on that merit alone. Something even MORE creepy also came of it when serial killer Danny Rolling blamed his massacre on a demonic being named "Gemini." Now THAT guy's crimes are truly a real-life slasher film - young college co-eds being butchered over one long weekend of terror: www.trutv.com/library/crime/serial_killers/predators/rolling/gain_1.html

As for Splice, I'll be there opening weekend. Not just because I want/need to get a review up, but because I think it looks really good. I know it's not going to pertain to horror that much, but that doesn't bother me. I think the plot serves as a Sci-Fi film better. And if Furious George is correct about it being like Re-Animator, I'm stoked as hell!

There needs to be more movies about hot, foreign snake women.

HISSS is going to be one f****d up movie. The titular creature, a naga, literally swallows people WHOLE. And she shifts from being the hot naked chick above, to being half chick-half snake, to being a HUGE goddamn snake.
*BRRRR*
I can't wait for it! ;D

Wow, and I thought Species filled my "hot-chick-turns-to-monster" quota. Ah, Species...now there's a movie that gave me some sleepful nights... What? DON'T JUDGE ME!

Don't know if this has been posted, but I found this reading a column over at 411Mania. spookshowinternational.blogspot.com/I believe this is a blog-type site for WC's lovable scapegoat known as Rob Zombie. If you scroll down a little, past the weird pictures, he has a poll up that has been going on for a bit. There's only 3 days left, but he answers the following question. What movie would you like to see next?*Werewolf Women of the SS *The Blob *Tyrannosaurus Rex *The Devil's Rejects: Part 2 May I add, where the hell is the "NOTHING! Please go away!" option. Bullcrap, I tell you. Better yet, where's the "What movie do you not want to see my wife do with me?" trick question at. Cause yes...it would be a trick question.
