That movie remakes and sequels aren't nearly as bad as people act. So what if the movie remake downright sucks? The original is still there. I hate this mindset that people are in, where remakes somehow diminish the quality of the originals. JAWS 5 could come out tomorrow, but guess what; JAWS wouldn't affected by it in any way, shape, or form. Its still there and its exactly the same as it was 30+ years ago. I'm always up for a new or different take on a movie that I like, whether its good or not. I just like to see a different viewpoint...

Put me down for the Chicago Cubs as well. To be honest, it hasn't been since birth, but it's been 21 years of heartbreak. I read an interview with Ernie Banks back in 1989 about how he just drove off by himself and cried after the Cubs didn't make it to the World Series in 1969 (they led the NL all season until falling apart right at the end). That story made me convert.

- The Cincinnati Bengals - Mike Brown is even earning my respect here, recently. They're finally starting to build themselves into contenders after being a joke in the 90s and early 00s. They also give a lot of players a chance to reinvent themselves or clear their name(or fall on their face).

- Judd Apatow - What can I say other than I love his works. From Freaks and Geeks to Funny People(Haven't seen Greek, yet). I know there are always going to be people turned off to every writer/director/producer and that's fine, but I think most of the Apatow hatred came along with his popularity as well as Rogen's, and it's just become trendy to hate both of them.

- Same vein, Kevin Smith. His recent movies have definitely not been the quality of the original Jersey Triad, but I still enjoy them(even Jersey Girl and Cop Out). I always look forward to what he's doing next. Not to mention, I think the guy is funny as hell when he does Smodcast and Speaking shows. I'm sure part of me is defending him, as well, for being a fellow fat person.

- Serj Tankian/SOAD - I haven't quite figured out whether there are really a lot of people that hate them or if it's just this general area...or what. I'll defend them, however, because I think they're original in what they do and I like most of their music.

Also, to whomever said Transformers earlier, I'll agree with you. I bought the DVD sets to watch with my son and am a collector(somewhat). The story they put behind the show was vast and amazing. I loved how they explained a bit of it through the original TV show and comics, then quite a bit more through the movie. I also loved how they linked the Beast Wars story to the original show's canon. Beast Wars was an incredible show that people who were new to the universe could enjoy, but fans of the original show would love because it was tied in so well.

Bright Eyes - A lot of people around here can't stand Conor Oberst and, while I respect that, I love the man and I think he's a genius. I also believe the statement that he's this generation's Dylan may not be 100% accurate, but they're not that far off.

Chrono Cross - No, it's not the exact same as Chrono Trigger. But what we did get was a beautiful game with an incredible soundtrack, an awesome cast of characters, an amazing world, a great storyline, and just...it was awesome. I'll just put it that way. I loved it and it tied up a lot of stuff involved with CT quite well, I thought.

Any Final Fantasy game post-6 - Ever since the series made the jump to 3D, there's been a huge group of people that just absolutely detest the series and think it's getting worse and worse to the point of being awful games. I respect peoples' opinions, but if you think ANY Final Fantasy is awful, you haven't played many games.

Star Wars prequels - I don't personally believe they're anywhere near as bad as people make them out to be. They're not flawless, but nothing is. I still think they're an awesome addition to the SW storyline, and great movies.

Will probably think of more later, but yeah.

- Victoria didn't get a fair push in 2004 before she became a jobber for the rest of her WWE career. I also hate how it seems like a lot of people don't like her now, so she's a little indecisive about what she wants to do with her life now, so? And it's not like she demands that TNA doesn't push Sarita/Hamada/Daffney.

-The New York Mets/Jets/Rangers/Knicks. It could have been easier if I went Yankees/Giants/Devils/Nets (even if the Nets were bad this past season, they still have a better playoff history than the Knicks over the past decade and a new agressive owner), but nope. I know the Jets seem like a favoritable choice this upcoming season, but that's what we said in 1999....
