Boooooooooooo.
I went to taco bell this week, I saw these and my interest was piqued (you normally never see pork at a fast food place) so I ordered one, and much to my surprise these things are rip off taco stand tacos.
For those of you who don't live near a mexican population, taco stands are these locally owned mexican restaurants where you can get "authentic" mexican food. and whenever you order tacos via take out they are wrapped in foil and they usually give you some weird hot sauce that's either green or red.
Anyway, back to taco bell. So when the taco comes, it's in faux-foil! I know it isn't real foil since it doesn't have the right feel to it. And when I open it up, I see that they skimped out on the meat! Now now, I know it's fast food and I shouldn't expect that much, but come on man!
I get it, taco bell wants to bring the taco stand tacos to places where people don't have them, but it's just not right. I can go to the taco stand by my house and get three tacos pastor no problem, and they put some meat on those. Why should I go to taco bell and get the faux-taco stand tacos when I can get the real thing for around the same cost. Plus at the real place I can get stuff like brain tacos, and tongue tacos!
Taco bell has failed me WC, they've failed me!!!

Man I haven't had Taco Bell in a long time. I usually only get regular tacos, but there's so little meat in there it's kind of a waste IMO

I actually just tried all three for the first time today, and considering I've never had the real thing, they were pretty awesome. I'm sure they're not as good as for reals taco stand tacos...but it's Taco Bell. I'm not expecting too much.
Anyway, I'd say that the chicken is the best, pork in the middle, and steak was actually my least favourite. I was expecting the steak to be the best, as I tend to prefer Taco Bell's steak to the rest of their meat, but it really just wasn't that great. I thought the lime added quite a bit to it, and the tortillas were pretty good.
But yeah...I thought they were pretty damn good for Taco Bell.

I really need to try these, as I love all meats from the pig really. Plus, there are no taco stands around here.

Taco Bell almost never puts enough meat in their tacos. Sometimes I'll buy 2 and put the meat from one into the other taco and throw away the extra shell.

They're okay, but the "authentic" mexican ones from the little hole in the wall places are way better

I don't intend on trying these since they look like they're half-filled with onions and I don't like onions. Plus, since they skimp on the meat, it'll probably be like 3/4ths onions. Though I am glad that they got carnitas and wish they'd put them in more things. Not that I go to Chipotle anymore but when I do, I usually get carnitas.

I had the steak one the other day, the better half tried the pork.
I thought the steak was just kinda meh and the feedback on the pork was "disgusting." I'll stick to my crunchy fresco tacos with fire sauce. Nothing beats it.

Honestly the one I went to must not know how to deal with actual corn tortillas (They aren't as pliable and MUST be steamed/heated before use) because the ones I got fel apart as soon as I touched them. Not simply a bottom falling out scenario but a complete structural failure that meant I needed to use utensils to eat the damn things.

We got these on wed. The lady behind the counter said "Ya'll actually like those?" To which I replied, "they have lime and cilantro, what's not to like?" She then said "Cilan-whut?" We got our new tacos, sat down and started eating them. Then another taco bell employee walked over and said "Do ya'll like those?" I said "Yeah, they would be better with some Pico De gallo mixed in." She then says, (completely different lady mind you) "Pico de whut?" I started to explain, then Kell piped in, "Its your fresco mix" She said "oh, none of us here like it."
I liked it, but it did need some pico.

If you live near a taco stand why would you ever eat at Taco Bell?

haha here in Mexico there's countless taco stands, seriously they are everywhere, Im very Lucky, sadly not all taste good, but they are good anyway, it's better than that Taco Bell stuff people dare to call tacos.

Taco Bell almost never puts enough meat in their tacos. Like Subway with their subs.

I would have appreciated a spoiler warning in the title! LMFAO im laughing at this either way, but I can vaguely remember someone getting mad on here because they didn't put a spoiler warning about a newly released food. am I correct?

It's a given at this point that all reviews of recently released fast food items need to come attached with a spoiler warning.
Didn't it start with Diesel Train's review of the Volcano taco?
Anyway back on topic, haven't tried it yet, probably won't. Doesn't look appetizing. I barely get anything else at TB besides crunchy tacos and the cheesy double beef burrito.
