He was on Friday night and I had no idea it was the future Pondo until after reading a review of the show over at 411. as he was referred to as Pongo. He wrestled a match against a "Super Ninja" in July of '91 and the two proceeded to put on arguably one of the worst matches ever on a national level.
Lou Albano's commentary didn't help much (well, except on a Crap level) as he began shooting on WCW, talking about how Jim Barnett must have trained the two and Jim Herd should take a look at these guys and try to sign them. Then, mind you... in addition to Albano and Sammartino on commentary... Craig DeGeorge AND Herb Abrams joined in leaving four men on commentary.
You gotta track this match down, it's total crappage.
