good to see people sticking up for Jeoff. I'm not even a huge Jeff Hardy fan. I do find him entertaining, but he's far from my favorite wrestler. I'm rooting for him hard as a person. I want him to prove everyone wrong and show that he is clean and he is able to have his career recover

If fans revel in a wrestlers downfall, not even a wrestler but the human being who is portraying that character, than that is absolutely disgusting.
Had these same remarks been made about Eddie, it would've caused an uproar. This makes me sick.

Let me make this straight: I do NOT want Jeff Hardy to fail. I don't like the guy much but i rate him as an in ring performer and hope he does well enough to get in the WWE Title hunt someday.
However i'm just being honest in my opinion. If it makes me sick that i have my own opinion (and quite frankly, a realistic one), than so be it. I think you guys are taking this completely the wrong way, and i apoligise for that. But i won't apoligise for having my own thoughts on the subject.

No because somebody said Jeoff Hardy has been impressive since returning.
You then said it's only been two week, plenty of time for him to screw up again.
Now thats disgusting. Give the guy a hcance and dont write him off.

Anybody who's first thought when Jeff Hardy was signed by WWE was not "I wonder how long he's gonna last", is a frickin liar.

I'm guessing you're a Jeff Hardy fan then. As i am not, i was not too excited about it. When Eddie came back in 2002 i was happy though. Same with Regal.

Anybody who's first thought when Jeff Hardy was signed by WWE was not "I wonder how long he's gonna last", is a frickin liar. Get over yourself. That was not my first thought but I simply know better. Only sadists would have that as their first thought. Vince hired Jeff because obviously he knew that he has changed. People CAN change you know. Addicts can recover and get their lives back together, and he's doing just that. I hope to God he proves everyone wrong.

Do wrestling fans enjoy watching a wrestler's downfall or something? Yes. *See: every other wrestler that's been commented on.

As far as the whole Jeff returning thing...he has been doing good the past two weeks. I think he out worked Orton and looked pretty impressive against Edge. Having said that, I for one am upset that he is getting a shot at something bigger while his brother is stuck in mid card hell on SD!, I mean really his brother was/is clean, does what he is told, tows the company line on everything and he looks like an emo teenager every week. Yeah I know he sucks yada yada but I still like him as a preformer.
As far as Jeff failing, it could happen it might not happen. Just wait and see. In a related note how many people thought after Eddie passed away the toxology report to show he fell off the wagon? I honestly didn't know, as I know how hard trying to stop smoking and drinking is a bitch, I can only imagaine pain killers and drinking and who what else. Just my two cents.

There really isn't much I can add to this that wasn't already said. if anybody saw the massive running arguement I and a couple other users had with a forum member who shall remain nameless, it goes without saying that the main problem here is indeed hypocrisy. While nobody liked to have seen Eddie Guerrero slide into drug problems, a large portion of the IWC was like "Jeff Hardy + Drugs = Don't Have to See Him Anymore = Good Jokes", which really is a very sadistic and somewhat disturbing view to have, especially given the role drugs played in the deaths of Brian Pillman, Eddie Guerrero, and Curt Henning.
I figure the fact that Hardy showed up to his debut, the fact that he was even hired back in the first place, and the fact that he's not phoning in his matches, leads me to believe there is a VERY good chance he's here to stay. And whoever said Vince wouldn't hire him back if he was still tweaked out and prone to no-showing is right. I'm pretty sure that when the initial rumors started, A stipulation for Jeff's return was that he get his drug problems sorted out, so i believe there was some sort of time spent in rehab, especially given that the last reports of Jeff out of Orlando was doing house shows up until May. Since there's a 3 month gap there, one can theorize that some if not all that time was spent in rehab.

Jeff has been pretty good so far, I'll admit. At least he stopped doing that guardrail spot which was mostly a miss than hit.
As long as he doesn't delve back into the paint crap again or start crawling down the aisleway saying "I'm a Monster" in the camera, then I think he'll be alright.

While Jeff is a great hand, I feel sorry for him. His face aged 10 years in the last 5 and he is sporting a little extra weight. Over time he may get more healty and that might go away, I hope.

Just wait until the inevitable Hardy Boyz reunion. If they take the belts off the Spirit Squad, I'd be okay with another reunion. Semper Fi, Erik Majorwitz

I was always more interested in Jeff as a wrestler than Matt, although I hate the girly pops he gets. Matt seems to be more of an indy wrestler stuck in the WWE. Matt had the chance to prove how good he was, but he was the one who swallowed his pride and went back. He has no one to blame for his de-push except for himself. What did he expect, that the WWE would stop pushing Edge to put him over? Or that they would push him afterward when the only push he got was during the "let the midcard do whatever they want" era of SD?
I just hope Jeff doesn't go the Eddie route and become a workout freak to help fight through his drug rehab. I do hope Jeff can get into a little better shape, but he has some time.
Also he's looked really good the last two weeks. Hopefully he keeps it up cause I want to see how far he can go.

Well, Matt is a better long-term investment than Jeff. He had a better singles run with his V-1 gimmick, he's never been addicted in the same way Jeff has, he's a better wrestler, and always tries his hardest no matter what stupid angle he's in.
That being said, I like Jeff too and hope he does well in WWE.
