RD talked a bit about it on our show . I thought he was a pretty funny guy to be honest. I've heard him on other talk shows where he openly admits he hates the wrestling fans and wouldnt take their calls. Seem like a bad way of getting a job anywhere or gaining any popularity ;D

i loved how he was kinda a smart heel, which there is no more of, like he could always rationalise the heels actions. his commentary on the russo shoot on hogan is great.

Man... thi says a lot about RD though... Madden gives him shizzle and RD doesn't go out of his way to induct Madden. A lesser man (me) would have inducted Madden the moment he mouthed off to me.

I thought he made a funny heel announcer, like that time he jumped on the Canadian bandwagon for 15 minutes for some dumbass reason. but perhaps he has too much... what do we call it? X-Pac heat

Was it also the graveyard match induction with vampiro that Madden was pissy over too, RD?
Never cared for the guy or most of the WCW announce team except for Heenan. Although heenan didn't have the same zing he used to have in the WWF, though at Superbrawl 7 it was kinda funny how he made fun of dusty Rhodes.

I liked Mark when he was in WCW, and I listen to his sports talk show on Pittsburgh's ESPN Radio from time to time. Back when wrestling was mega-hot, he would have a segment on his show called "The Wrestling Hour". I called in once; he was very nice to me.
His being fired from WCW actually warranted an article in the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette. And here's something I found funny: he's mentioned in my Media Law college textbook. To make a long story short, Madden used WCW's hotline to report on the financial troubles of the WWF. When the eventual lawsuit came, Madden was subpoenaed to reveal the identity of his sources. He cited his First Amendment privilege as a reporter. A district court ruled in his favor, but an appeals court overturned the decision, on the grounds that he was not a reporter gathering news, but an entertainer reporting hype.
