With the old draft lottery coming up, one may have to ask if the old WCW battlebowl - Lethal Lottery is wrestlecrap?
I never actually saw one, but seen previews and sometiumes the reults on old WCW tv. I thouight the idea of pairing up heels and faces in tag teams was interesting concept, but why a battle royal at the end? Why not make them go after the tag champions, they could have made a new face or new heel in the process.

no you will not bad mouth the lethal lottery, it was a new and inventive thing for that time. seeing as it looks like wwe is revisting old wcw type ppv's they should bring it back and do it the exact same way. i was a total mark for the battlebowl/lethal lottery idea. and any time i watch the old video tape of it i still mark out to it. no one will bad bad mouth this.

Wasn't that Dusty Rhodes' idea? Say what you will about the man about booking, but he had some great ideas as far as match gimmicks go.

Because it's cool. And you know you're jealous of it.

(My memory is hazy can someone back me up)... I will always like that one because.. that was the first time as a nine year old child.. I saw Jushin Thunder Liger wrestle on television. I remember just sitting there going... "HE'S COOL!". The battle royal at the end was quite good too. Had some great wrestlers in it (Liger, Sting, Rude, Vader, Steamboat) I know there was more than those five.. but those are the five I can remember.

1991 was the first Battlebowl - the main crap was the guys getting up before their names were pulled out of the hat. Seems a lot of wrestlers have great psychic abilities.
The Nightstalker also started to sit up just before a Big Van Crush (fat man splash), which must have hurt.

I also remember Abdullah the Butcher attempting to take out Cactus Jack's partner so he could team with him.. and would eventually team with Sting ;D

Yeah, it was poor Buddy Lee Parker. Abby wanted to team with Cactus, but ended up teaming with Sting. He spent much of the match stabbing Sting with a pencil whilst gasping for air.

I liked Battlebowl because it was a great way to involve many guys in one night...although Mean Gene's perversion at the 1993 one between matches brings the event down almost
