As much as I love RTB, it's good that you're making your family a priority, Jed. Do whatever works for you, and keep us updated for when your ready to bring it back.

Look at a kitten. That makes everybody happy! ;D Jed f'n Shaffer ~If I could offer up a better solution ... damned real life getting in the way ... Well, duh. Real life sucks sometimes. But, whatcha gonna do? Not let Hulkamania run wild on me, that's for damned sure. Jed f'n Shaffer ~Seriously, though, thank you all for the support and understanding. It means a lot, since I've tested your patience on more then one occasion.

I know this is on the list, but what if Triple H hadn't torn his quad the first time? (It would have lead to Face Triple H vs. Heel Stone Cold at WMX-8, they admitted that.)

I'm new to the board, but just wanted to ask a couple questions for Jed.
1: In the "Stone Cold Hit & Run" RTB, Tazz asks Paul Heyman how he got Shane's shares of WWF stock, and that question was never answered before the end of the RTB. So how would that have played out and explained?
2: In your Invasion RTB, will you be using the wrestlers only signed to the WWF when they were (i.e. Ric Flair doesn't show up before November 2001)? I'd like to see it re-done without having Sting or Goldberg show up at WM 17 just because it would be more realistic.

I'll take these-
1) I don't know if and/or how Jed would explain it, but if I had to take a crack at it, I'd have had someone be Heyman's money mark, as it were, someone finacing him. Perhaps Flair, or DiBiase. But that's just me.
2) Since he's already done the InVasion, I can answer that, and the answer is yes, mostly. It starts just before KOTR 01, and only those hired/under contract to WWF were used (albeit most with drastically different roles and/or status) with for memory two notable exceptions, being that Mike Tenay was hired as an annoucer (him and Scott Hudson were WCW's annoucers since Arn was Commish) and Flair was brought in a few months earlier, which I think is somewhat believable.

So how would that have played out and explained? I'd have to go back and re-read it to even remember it, to be honest. Probably, as mlsq said, I'd have someone financing Heyman. Really, though, I did it solely because I like to make these feel as real as possible, and that means not having stories end on a dead stop. They have to provide a lead-in to something else. Again, mlsq covered that one. Thankya kindly, sir. Jed f'n Shaffer ~Flair is one reason I'd considered re-writing the InVasion story, to make it stick to the rules even more. But I'm far too lazy for that.

I don't mind if you want to re-write it, but can we still get V1.0 up on the site?

Hey Jed, I have a question for you. I've re-read the stories that take place during the Attitude Era, and I noticed something common to all of them: the European Title. Or rather the lack of the European Title.
It appears briefly in the Hit and Run story, basically to get it off of Regal, and then it disappears. And I didn't see it mentioned in any other stories covering that time period.
Did you just forget about it(understandable) or did you just not care enough about the title to include it(also understandable)?

Again, to answer for Jed, most of the time the Euro title is somewhat below the storylines being addressed in these things. i.e The Euro belt was, during the Invasion, the bottom rung on the ladder and only held by lower card guys moving up. Ergo, since the changes occur mostly at the top of the card, the Euro belt doesn't enter into it, those fueds are the minor matches prior to all the good stuff we see

Thanks for explaining that.

True, but that was more because WCW had such a focus on it's Cruisers, thus you needed to bring that in as a comparison. If the WCW TV belt had still existed when WWF bought WCW, Jed almost certainly would have tossed in a Stevie/Rikishi/Sanders fued or something over the combined Euro TV Title.

Well, ECW would have died soon after, so the real story is where did Heyman/ECW guys go?

Yeah, I can kinda see why it's not the nicest topic to go into at length, as opposed to something somewhat light and nice, like what if Trish had accepted Mickie's advances or what if DX had stuck together at WMXV or something.

Idea: I was rewatching Foley's Hits and Misses, and a (somewhat dark) idea hit me during Hell In A Cell.
What if- The roof had given way?
There's a moment when Taker and Mick are walking on the top of the cell and they step on a panel and it breaks a bit. At that point they are above the front ring ropes, so if the cell had given through totally they would have really been injured, possibly retirement worthy. That's a rather drastic moment...
Again, not a nice one, but it's new, I think...

I recently had an idea. It's a bit unusual as it's not a rewrite of a storyline.
Would you be able to create the rumored Bret Hart DVD "Screwed: The Bret Hart Story"? I'd like to see how it would have turned out if Bret had not agreed to do the actual DVD.
