I like this song. Just curious do all the pop stations play this song at least once an hour or is it just cause I'm in Cali?

Who cares as long as she still has that Gorgeous Hooper (Frisky Dingo reference) like rack. She is a garbage musician but man its like they put Zoey Deschanel's face on the body of a porn star.

This girl I dated on and off for 12 years, whom never showed any interest in the same sex, hears that i kissed a girl song, leaves me and turns lesbian. She even admitted she is directly inspired by that song. Now I am a very bitter man in so many ways.

Actually, the way I read it, it just reaffirmed that Mike & Brian were not suing, but the label was still going to do something

My main gripe with Katy Perry is that, like California Gurls, the title "I Kissed A Girl" is a ripoff of another song. Now, I know that you can name two songs the same name. But people seemed to forget the other song even existed and put over Katy as so "provocative" or "edgy" or "innovative" when somebody else already did the EXACT SAME THING!!!
Even when trying to look up the original song, her damn song came coming up in the search.

If you lose your girl to a song...maybe it wasn't the song. Just sayin.

Just saying that if you're blaming the turn on a SONG, then you're missing something obvious.

If anything, the mainstream acceptance of the song made her feel as if it was ok to finally come out of the closet after 12 years of using men as a shield. But a song doesn't turn people gay. If that were the case, legions of baseball/football/wedding goers/etc would be gay due to repetition of Y.M.C.A.

If you think copyright's are bad, you should check out some of the ridiculous shit that goes on in trademarks.
Stuff like in the first season of Heroes, where cheerleader sticks her arm down a garbage disposal. If you freeze it on the DVD you can see the Insinkerator logo on it. Insinkerator sued and it was removed from later releases.
Subway trying to sue others to stop them from using "Footlong" in their description of sandwiches. They sent a cease and desist letter to a place that has sold footlong hotdogs for 40 years, but later backed down due to the bad press, not to mention they wouldn't win that lawsuit IN A MILLION YEARS.
McDonald's suing practiacally anyone with "Mc" in front of their business name.

Okay, first Tommy Wiseau, that article i posted a week ago, and now this?! Is the world on a copyright infringement streak or something? What's next? Record companies going after karakoe bars? I think you need a live license in Britain but I'm not sure of the exact law, luckily I think that rule is being relaxed. www.eastbourne.gov.uk/business/licences/alcohol-entertainment/when/entertainment/Here's a picture of Katy Berry infringing DX's copyright.

Even when trying to look up the original song, her damn song came coming up in the search. That's true, and that Jill Sobule girl I think was actually a lesbian. It's really not edgy at all for a hot chick to make a song about kissing girls, that's like, more than acceptable in our culture. Encouraged, if anything. Katy Perry is another chick who is really not all that talented, but has family in the business. She is really, really hot though. I don't usually say things like that about mediocre to bad pop stars because I think they get more than enough adulation as it is, but I have to give it up this time.

Metallica apparently went after Revolon or someone for having a eyeliner, which may have been Metallica and said "it created confusion in the marketplace"

Lets not forget the soon to be WWE lawsuit against TNA. Yeah I know it has not happened yet, but it will.
