I presume everyone has this game, but I have an extra copy of the counter strike source if anyone wants it.
I'm blackjackrob22 on source.

I decided about ten hours ago that it was time to play through The Secret of Monkey Island: Special Edition once more, as well as finish the last two episodes of Tales Of Monkey Island I've been putting off because I haven't had the time to play them due to having to actually concentrate on my studies for the past couple of months. Well, I'm done and it's 9 AM now, so it appears this process took a bit longer than I expected (as I got stumped on quite a few easy puzzles, particularly in the final Tales episode) but it was totally worth it. I think. I'm not sure, I'm tired. Oh, by the way, here's my Steam profile which should actually work this time: steamcommunity.com/id/thebrainchop/

I picked up Left 4 Dead off Steam. Only my second game since I have had a PC worth a crap again for the first time in years. Just wanted to go back to this and say that I also ended up getting the original L4D on sale for $7.50, and the custom user-made maps look terrific. Check out this site for some of the best ones available. City 17 (based on the City 17 from HL 2: Episode One) is a lengthy 5-part campaign that is really polished and comes across as a professionally-made map, on par with something Valve themselves would produce. Others that seem to be popular are Suicide Blitz, Night Terror, Death Aboard, and Death Row. I highly recommend trying them out to add more even more replay value.

Well, I played the Champions Online trial and I have one word: Disappointment.

Well, I played the Champions Online trial and I have one word: Disappointment. I liked it >_> so, I beat mass effect, and now I'm going back to play it again. I also now have morrowind. I already put in the better bodies mod so is there anything else I need?

Never played Morrowind, but I'd imagine you could find some texture mods to help update the visuals a bit. I'm surprised the game is nearly 8 years old. Just didn't think it's been that long since it came out.
And yeah, Mass Effect is the kind of game where it's great to go back a second time and take a completely different path. I would've done that had L4D2 not come out and captured my attention, but eventually I'll play through it as a total prick instead of a good-hearted savior. If you're interested in playing the sequel (comes out in February I think), be sure to keep your saved game since you can carry it over.

I also have a bad nack in bioware games to play the game once as a man and just take the choices I'd normally choose. But since bioware has such black and white choices I normally end up taking all the good choices. So on my second playthrough I usually end up playing as an evil witch.

Wait, I've been playing GTA IV for 12 hours according to Steam? That can't be right. I think the last mission I did was "Uncle Vlad".
The PC version of GTA IV is great, though, that has to be said. The higher resolution and draw distance makes Liberty City come alive even better than the 360 version, and the mouse aim makes things a lot easier when you're shooting people. I drive using the 360 controller, though (I already noticed years ago in the PC version of GTA III that driving with the keyboard just does not work), which occasionally leads to the keyboard controls glitching when Niko exits a car and thus I've had to play a few missions using only the controller. It still works well enough, so no big deal there.
I also like how Independence FM, the custom radio station (where I put a rather eclectic mix of songs ranging from the Divinyls' "I Touch Myself" to the Scarface soundtrack, Ennio Morricone and a bunch of Dead Kennedys tracks), even has a DJ this time. ;D

GTA IV seems to be a great game on the PC, provided you have a system powerful enough to handle it. The requirements to play at a decent res with high settings and a steady framerate are just jaw-dropping. It's more demanding than Crysis, which is a much better looking game. I think it's just poorly optimized, which is a shame because I really wanted to get it. My e4300 and 9600 GSO wouldn't stand a chance at 1600x900 and decent settings.
Out of curiosity, what are your full system specs? I'm guessing you have a quad-core CPU?

Yeah, I have a 2.8 GHz quadcore CPU, plus 8 gigs of RAM and Radeon HD4890. This setup is enough to run GTA IV on 1920 x 1080 with the different graphics options set to high, very high or highest (except the draw distance which won't go higher than 48), with a frame rate that is equal to or smoother than the console versions.
I just wish the game supported anti-aliasing, because there are quite a few jaggies to be seen all around.

I thought the port sucked. Ridiculously high requirements, horrible looking shadows, and NO f***ING ANTI ALIASING.

By the way, I know how hated the game pad is, but does anyone know how to get it to work for L4D? It is all kinds off stupid. I googled it, but I get the answers for people who know what they are doing. I tried setting it up with my Logitech Rumblepad 2 and got everything to work fine except for the right analog stick. Couldn't get it to look left or right for some reason, but everything else I could set up exactly like the 360 control scheme. If you have a 360 controller, it should set up automatically for you from what I've read. Did you enable gamepad under "Keyboard/Mouse"?

Apparently you have to make a config file, but that is kind of beyond me, at least as far as the instructions I have found go.

I'm still playing Warhammer Online: Age of Reckoning. Definitely one of the most fun PvP games I've ever played when you don't just run around zerging.
