A&M? F*** A&M. Who did they ever beat? In what universe does Texas A&M really matter in? (No offense to any alumni that may be on these boards.) Umm... they've got an awesome fight song, and Kyle Field is a hell of a place for football. That's pretty much it. They're riding the coattails of the Longhorns, and the Texas State Legislature. The Texas State Fighting Armadillos deserve a spot in the Big XII. The Big XII is definitely not going to last much longer. They're only shot is to lure someone like TCU and BYU away from the Mountain West. Just to give them 4 legit top 25 college football programs.

It's funny how the Big 12 looks now. It's obvious to me this conference is on a life support with a feeding tube attached. The other schools look so weak with this. Where is Oklahoma spine in all this? I mean I guess they keep their big money matchup vs Texas but still they made Texas more money than anyone in college football and aren't they basically on the same level as Texas? Why would they helped give everything on a silver platter to Texas? Sad really I used to feel this conference was scary, I never really like any of the teams in this conference, I tend to like teams in the Big Ten/Big East, but they were still intimidating and worthy of praise. Now the Big 12 is a joke and either they have to get two quality teams into the conference, probably BYU and TCU and move Oklahoma and Oklahoma State to the North Division to get a better conference championship game thus keeping it alive or it will die in a few years.

If they moved Oklahoma to the north division, that'd kill the OU/Texas game that joined OU to Texas to begin with.

Adding TCU does not gain anything market wise. Loosing the powerhouse drawing that Nerbraska brought and the Denver market is going to hurt. They have to get new markets to survive, and adding a DFW team does not do that.

What's funny is that in terms of success they are more successful than Texas in the history of the Big 12.

Even before Nebraska and Colorado left, the Big XII North Division was never very imposing. The only purpose the North served was to feed a team to the winner of the South division in the Big XII Championship Game. Since 1996, the South division has won ten of the 14 championship games, including the last six. Hell, since 2003, only the 2010 Championship Game was even close. The Big XII South has always dominated the Big XII. They always have the National Championship contenders in Texas and Oklahoma. Would it really make a lick of difference, competition-wise, if TCU and BYU replace Nebraska and Colorado? Doubtful. Sure, Nebraska and Colorado draw way more and are worth significantly more in terms of value than TCU and BYU, but in terms of performance on the field, it's essentially a loss. Prior to adding Nebraska, I never really understood the hype behind the Big Ten. Ohio State is always in the discussion for the National Championship, but year after year, they redefine sucking on a significant stage. Aside from OSU, Penn State, Iowa and Wisconsin, the Big Ten is a conference full of also-rans and teams that will never be competitive. I mean, seriously, can anyone possibly get excited about Indiana vs. Northwestern? Or Purdue vs. Minnesota?

Conferences are always full of shit teams, and the Big Ten is lucky it has 5 teams that are normally in the title debate and not stuck with one or two teams like the Pac-10. I fully expect a Big Ten team to go the the National Championship game this year and maybe even win it.

The SEC is allowing fans to bring vuvuzelas to the games this year. Oh god no NOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!! BTW, to the guy that asked who A&M has ever beaten allow me to say first that lately no not very many big names however since you asked allow me to mention just a few: Georgia, Arkansas, Oklahoma, Texas, Tennesse, Notre Dame, Florida State, Texas Tech, Nebraska, Kansas Stete(while they were #1)LSU, Colorado, California. They have a national champuionship in thier trophy case, Bear bryant is among the list of ex-coaches, Kyle Field is a freaking awsome place to see a game, hundreds of pieces of lore and tradition (Go look up "The 12th Man" I'll wait). The wrecking crew will return and Texas will be shamed yet again. Go, Fight Win

Go, Fight Win I'm a Mizzou fan, and I was being sarcastic sir My point was, that in the grand scheme of things A&M isn't a huge draw for the Big XII, so they don't deserve a bigger share in the Big XII's money pool. Texas and Oklahoma, I can understand. A perennial also ran in the conference who just happens to be in Texas, not so much. Also, between A&M and Seattle, I'm more than aware of "The 12th Man".

Former South Florida running back Mike Ford was arrested on Tuesday and charged with domestic battery. He reportedly made contact with his girlfriend, the mother of his two children.
ESPN Pac-10 blogger Ted Miller, citing a report on KNOE-TV.com in Louisiana, states that Jeremiah Masoli has checked out both Louisiana Tech and Mississippi State as the sticky-fingered quarterback looks to possibly rebuild his college career.

Southern Miss wide receivers DeAndre Brown and Johdrick Morris and linebacker Martez Smith were arrested Thursday on charges of disorderly conduct at a pool party. The trio allegedly failed to follow officers' orders to disperse after they were called to the scene due to a disturbance.
USC backup quarterback Mitch Mustain reiterated that he has no plans to transfer from USC.
Former Trojan (kinda), and arguably the top ranked overall prospect, OT Seantrel Henderson appears set to enroll at the U this fall.
