Boise State vs TCU, Utah and BYU every year? Thank you, even without the schools from the Big XII this conference better get more nationally televised games.

I think the MWC is banking on a couple of Big XII schools to be available for the plucking. Dream scenario for the MWC has to be Kansas and Kansas State both being homeless once the Big XII dissolution is complete.

Nebraska makes it official and will join the Big Ten in 2011, which will probably force up everybody's timetable as everybody else was waiting until 2012. Chip Brown Twittered that Texas, Texas Tech, Oklahoma, and Oklahoma State will move to the Pac-10 with Texas and Texas Tech having Regents meetings on Tuesday. The Oklahoman is reporting that Oklahoma will make their announcement after Texas makes theirs: www.newsok.com/source-ou-headed-to-pac-10/article/3467852?custom_click=breaking_news

Austin American Statesman - UT, Tech, OU, Okie State are ready to walk. A&M has 72 hours to decide if they want in.
They say that Baylor has NOT been excluded by the Pac Ten, so they'll get a shot at joining the league if A&M opts out.

Washington paper reporting that KU, KSU, Mizzou and ISU are meeting with the Big East.
And Jim Williams of the Washington Examiner reporting that Louisville, Cincinnati, UConn, USF and Georgetown have all voiced approval in trying to bring in ISU, KU, KSU and Mizzou.

I don't really follow NCAA football, but I like the idea of these big conferences.
Also they're going to change the names of them right? It really makes the schools & NCAA sound and look stupid when the Big Ten has like 12 schools right now.

Why would texas go to the SEC ( The hardest confrence to win) when they could go to the pac-10 and win/compete for the confrence title every year?Anyone who moves into the tough as nails SEC has to be insane.
The only real powerhouse in the pac-10 is USC and with 20 schoolarships being taken away from then , the pac-10 is ripe for the picking for the next six or seven years where as the SEC is really competitive and it's going to stay that way into the future.

I'm still a little on the fence about Nebraska joining the Big Ten next year. But hell, they could become the NEW Big Twelve if that's the only one they're taking. Also: KU would be getting better treatment if they didn't have the FBI and IRS all over them. That's got to make conferences iffy about them. I feel stupid asking, but could someone explain the whole "FBI/IRS interrogating Kansas" ordeal? I don't remember this at all.

I feel stupid asking, but could someone explain the whole "FBI/IRS interrogating Kansas" ordeal? I don't remember this at all. Ticket scalping on a massive level. 2 guys were getting tickets from KU, and selling them for a huge profit. The thing is, KU was giving them more than the NCAA allotment allows for one group or person. People in KU's athletic department knew about this, and were helping with it. There's also the complaint about season ticket holders being f***ed over, and seats that were supposed to be reserved for only certain people winding up on eBay. Quite a few people that worked for KU's ticket department and athletic department as well, are quitting. This explains it better. rivals.yahoo.com/ncaa/basketball/news?slug=ys-kutickets052610

Commissioner Larry Scott will reportedly formally invite Texas, Texas Tech, Oklahoma and Oklahoma State to join the Pac-10 over the weekend and the schools will reportedly accept. Texas A&M will also likely receive an invite, but they are also flirting with the SEC. If A&M is noncommittal, the fifth invite could go to Kansas.

The Big East will have like 20 teams if that rumored deal is true. That's kinda insane and would be hard to follow.

SEC Commissioner Mike Silve is in College Station and in talks with Texas A&M officials, according to texags.com.
US Rep. Joe Barton(Texas) is on record as wanting A&M in the SEC, according to College Football Talk.
Edit: TCU is reportedly trying to keep the Mountain West from bringing in Baylor, according to Dallas Morning News, apparently as revenge for Baylor getting the last Big XII invite when that conference first formed.
