This was an idea I was kicking around in my head. Using the current roster create a second show for the company. You can't fire or hire anyone. Basicly I want to know what your show would center around.
I'd re-use the name Xplosion and would book the show 75% around the X-Division and 25% around the Knockouts. I'd leave the main storylines on Impact. My main focuse would be on guys like MCMG and Brian Kendrick. Of the 2 hours show it would be 70-30 with ring action being the main focus but still runing storylines to keep people interested.
What would you do?

en.wikipedia.org/wiki/TNA_Reactionbut in all seriousness....i would use the same exact same idea of your show but 50/50 x-div and knockouts.... ....although that would be pretty difficult with the current state of the knockouts

I'd just like for TNA to have a "Superstars" type show, just an hour of matches and an iMPACT recap video.

I'd create the show entirely for the Knockouts, to give them a chance to prove that the ability to draw a 1.0 for 15 minutes equals the ability to draw a 1.0 for 120 minutes. Give the show its own sponsors, run its own house shows, sell its own merch, and in every way make it an independent brand run under the TNA corporate umbrella. Not that I'd want to see 120 minutes of women's wrestling every week, but it would be nice to end a certain argument once and for all.

I think that's a great idea, but it would never fly in TNA becaue if that actually happened it would probably draw better ratings than iMPACT (which would just be featuring the Main Event guys) to which TNA management would probably assume whichever day XPlosion is on is "wrestling night" and cancel Xplosion to put iMPACT on that - or something nonesensical like that.

It also happened to be on New Year's Eve. .. and their New Years Even show in 2005 only fell from a 0.9 to a 0.8. and wasnt it 4 hours? i cant remember. Yes, the remainder was packed with the top 3 PPV matches of that year, hardly filler.

That was actually my reason for the idea. I was curious to see if it would draw better ratings than Impact because I feel like it would.

I might play a shade loose with hire/fire, at least about recent "talents."
My second show would be more about removal than creation. It would consist of Hogan, Hogan's friends, Bischoff, acts Hogan and/or Bischoff like (ala Abyss and Orlando Jordan), generic lummoxes that probably meet with Hogan's preferences (Tomko for instance.) And some low card guys rarely ever get to see anymore (Shark Boy types.)
They could have Rosie. For opposition, Hogan can hire his daughter at $50 an appearance (generous considering her talent level) and if really need be, Hogan likes LVE right? Or Hemme back in the ring if called for.
Russo can wrestle too. Maybe a series between Russo and Orlando Jordan for their only title. Best 8 of 15 or something of that nature. With plenty of long Abyss mic segments complaining about why he isn't in the series. Of course, he takes on the winner in an even longer series. With every show guaranteeing at least ten minutes of character playing and speaking time for him.
Unless I say otherwise, Hogan has creative final stroke. Bischoff does booking, and Russo writes.
One catch : no one involved with this show can have anything to do with Impact. Or any final say at PPVs. Not only would Impact improve, but my fast foward button upon reviewing it would see at least a quadrupling of it's lifespan.

One hour show on Sunday's at 7 PM. It should help advance storylines and give guys who don't make it onto Impact that week TV time.

How about just make it like a TNA version of Smackdown?
We split the roster in half (I'm guessing about 32 per show) and have the Heavyweight, Tag Team, and Knockouts titles on Impact, then have the Global, X-Division, and KO Tag on the new show.
