The show seems better to me now than it did last year.
But from a business standpoint it seems like a total failure so far. All their "accomplishments" (going live, big names under contract) since Hogan arrived costs them money, and they have no more viewers than before they started. I guess if buyrates are up considerably that could help, but I don't know if they are or not.

Another thing to consider is Raw is super-stacked now with the clearing out of Smackdown pre-network switch. That will give the Hogan-Bischoff defenders an excuse that will run right up until about the start of Monday Night Football, which should give them another few months of legitimate excuses. However, it's all bullcrap. They were paid to boost ratings. The timeslot switch was those guys idea. Every reason for it has turned out to be a bust. There is NOT a greater audience on Monday. They have NOT hurt Raw's numbers. The war is not on. If it is not going to work and you have to be able to see that now, they need to right that wrong before stuff gets worse.
The numbers are in decline. It takes them 2 primetime showings now to get what they used to get BEFORE you added in there odd hour replays. They have been trending down and even if they manage to rebound back to status quo they will decline during Football season again by the time that happens.

It is like I alluded to in my most recent post in that TNA can put on five star matches and fueds the next 6 months but a continual subpar WWE Raw is still going to win. And I like TNA better myself. TNA is playing catchup and no matter how fast they run to use an expression Raw is so far ahead in the race because of a massive headstart that WWE is going to win no matter what. I don't think TNA is the answer anyway. The answer lies IMHO in an old school NWA/old school WCW style promotion that brings back the fans of yesteryears and goes back to traditional instead of entertainment. Trying to compete directly with the WWE at their own game even if TNA is more edgy right now is probably not going to work.

To me, it's a fail. I like the fact that I get to see people like Jeff Hardy and RVD but the roster seems packed for a 2 hour show. I don't feel that they put in anymore effort into making their original product better and bringing in a ton of superstars who are already established, especially the older wrestlers, is kinda holding their original wrestlers back. They wanted to start a war with the WWE when they should have pretended that the WWE doesn't exist and what kind of reward do they get.

Fail. I went from "this might be exciting, let's see what they have got" to "dear lord, what are they thinking" in the last few months. Reading Death of WCW again right now doesen't makes it better - in the contrary. The parallels to At(l)anta's finest wrestling promotion are uncanny and seeing Hogan, Bischoff and Russo being on top of a struggling promotion again isn't making things better. The main story right now, the one about the rings of power, is just soooo dumb and I can understand the viewers who rather watch Cena cut his one promo once again. You've got Evad Sullivan's little cousin Abyss, two pensioners of wich one seems to bleed everytime he's moving one of his digits and the goof in yellow and red and they're fighting over the hall of fame rings of THE BIG AND EVIL CORPORATION OF THE NORTH. The one with the king of tawdry ruling it to semiquote Bischoff. Who in turn seems to be very fond of midget wrestling. The guy's just a gift which keeps on giving. Just take a look at his Facebook page. It might be his own and private page, but repeatedly bashing Obama might be another turnoff for some viewers. He's entiteld to have his very own political views but for the love of the lord keep it away from the public, especially with the current political climate in the USA. Another thing: So RVD won the belt. Why wasn't he the center and cornerstone of the next show? He ended a pretty long title reign and also beat Jeff Hardy during the same show. He got carried around like he has just slain a giant and got more or less forgotten on the next show. I'm just waiting for another Russo in a pope mobile angle... I can understand why Bryan Alvarez screamed and yelled in the past almost every week he had to review the show, there are just soooo maaaannyy dumb ideas and those ideas piss of the viewers which in turn seem to be leaving another sinking ship with the same three stooges on the steering wheel, aiming for every iceberg they can find. I like drama and I like it with my wrestling but this crap is just bad. It's an induction waiting to happen and it might even have good chances ending up as the gooker of the year: THE LORD OF THE RINGS OF FLORIDA. /rant over

It's not quite good, and not nearly as awful as a lot of things I've seen in wrestling.
I'd say it doesn't really hurt anything, but perhaps more importantly, it hasn't done a darn thing to help it either.

Fail.
Roster is bloated full of people who aren't very good. I can't substantiate this, but you have to expect that Hogan and Bischoff have blown huge amounts of money signing all the new talent.
Bubba as an attempt to draw in curious shock jock audience listeners was a giant, offensive, racist fail.
The KO division, the most highly-rated part of TNA, is on death's door.
Chris Daniels, the Kane of TNA, quit in frustration (what the HELL??).
Finally and most importantly, ratings are in the toilet.

Fail for me. Some of the things which have happened I had been hoping for, like Anderson coming in, old school Joe and going live on Mondays but overall Id perfer the pre Hogan TNA, which I was getting really into after it being lackluster for a lot of 09 in my opinion. Loosing people like Kong and Daniels while Abyss and Rob Terry get pushes is just soul destroying along with the rings storyline and I know we wanted blood but the amount of it is absolutley ridiculous.

Fail. They still use the lasers.
And they changed the ring to four sides.
And the Knockout division is hemmorhaging talent.
And he hasn't showcased the young talent in the locker room that he hyped in every interview before taking over.
And Sean Waltman is getting a paycheck.

All Answers lie within the Graph. ** Before anyone starts arguing about ratings vs. # of viewers on Thursday vs. Monday, its already been established in a previous thread that a rating on Monday will garner nearly the same # of viewers as the same rating on Thursday. There was less than a .02. Basically they've been getting record low ratings and record low # of viewers.

Well, with the poll locked, the ratings cut in half and, the loss of their coveted Monday night slot, it looks like Hogan at 6 months is an overwhelming FAIL.

Hogan haven't lived up to the hype. So far he's the New Coke. More like Crystal Pepsi. Fail all the same, though.

Crystal Pepsi points and laughs at Monday Night Wars II.
I'm actually pretty sad about the whole thing. Guys like Hogan and Bisch getting their egos pricked is funny but there are a lot of good people in TNA seeing their careers suffer from the band of chimpanzees in charge of the place.

A pass for the initial spike in interest, followed by a big ol' fail at maintaining it.
