Last night Jushin Liger beat Negro Casas to become the CMLL World Middleweight champion. When he won the title I noticed that he's won damn near every major jr. title in wrestling.
IWGP Junior Heavyweight Championship GHC Junior Heavyweight Championship Dragon Gate Open the Dream Gate Championship Super J Crown titles WCW World Light Heavyweight Championship etc
So would you be ok if Liger won the TNA X championship just for history's sake?

To put it politely...
YES.
FOR F***'S SAKE, YES.
TNA, MAKE THIS HAPPEN.

In a word, yes. To elaborate, oh hell f***ing yes I would. He may not be able to do all that he once could, but he's still damn good and would be an instant rub to anyone who he worked with.

The X-Division title is a "major title"? Considering the fact that it's the second-largest promotion in the United States' equivalent to a Cruiserweight/Junior Heavyweight title, yes it is. On another note, Liger as X-Div Champ would be thirteen kinds of awesome.

Why would anyone have a problem with that? If anything the X title is beneath him

Yes def! I grew up watching Liger in WCW and then as I got older and started to learn more about Japanese Wrestling, I became a instant fan and him as X Champ would def. bring some notoriety to the title, no offense to AJ, Joe or Daniels.

No. I hate to sound like a dick because he is an absoloute legend but he is also past it, putting the belt on him woud be no better than giving Nash or Hall a run with the world title.

Liger would make that title's reputation and, as long as TNA sold the audience on his legend, would make a star out of anyone who beat him for it (preferably Alex Shelley). I'd be thrilled if it happened.

No, he's 45 and has never drawn much in the US. He's not going to get a huge new audience to watch TNA. I'd like to maybe see him get a title shot on a Global Impact show, but not a title run at his age.

Liger or Ultimo Dragon would great wrestlers to hold the X title to give it back much needed prestige. Much better choice than Mr Glamrock. Hell, I would settle for Juventud than Shannon Moore.

I'd say bring him in for a couple of months, beating a lot of the established stars for the first month, all the while, they're really pushing the fact that he's a legend. Then at the PPV, he gets a shot at the X-Division title against a long-reigning champion. The match ends in a time limit draw. Then build up to the next PPV with the champion really growing to respect Liger. At the next PPV, the same match again, with no time limit, and the champ retains after eleventy billion near-falls from both men.
Boom, Liger gets more recognition in the US, and we've elevated both the X-Division title, and it's owner to a much higher status. It's win/win.

But because he is 45 he should be immediately placed in the same category as Hall and Nash? Talk about short sighted. And as far as him being a draw in the states, well I'm sure he hasn't put as many asses in the seats as a big draw like Kazarian has, but maybe we could still give him a chance.

I would love to see it, but I wouldn't even care if he didn't win the belt. I would just love to be able to see him compete and hear this theme on TNA one more time:

I would say yes, but I haven't seen him wrestle for 4-5 years. No idea what kind of shape he's in these days. Anyone got pics?

See my idea of him winning it would be centered around a few X Cup like matches. TNA vs Japan.
Liger wins the title while in the States then loses it on a PPV.
