Eric just isn't all that good. Period. He should forever be the coward flinching at his pyro.

Incidentally, what is with the bizarre love for the World Elite on this board? What a lame, thrown together faction. I know there's a certain nostalgia for pre Hogan/Bischoff era TNA, but this is carrying it a bit too far. World Elite were a bunch of JTTS guys that were heels because they were any other nationality but American. I was wondering the same thing, I remember when some seriously called them one of the most unique stables in recent memory. Then again people also thought Serotonin were a great group. Serotonin didn't even get a chance. They were punked on the night they debuted. You know you're doomed once that happens.

I started watching TNA when he was leading World Elite, and I loved it. Never saw the old goofy stuff, so I didn't see why people were complaining at the time that Young was the leader of this awesome group. I LOLed at him throwing up the "X" when the mannequin died, too, but World Elite never really got the chance to shine and Eric could be an amazing heel group leader.

A couple of other posters have said similar things, but ultimately, there is no glass ceiling for Eric Young. He's just plain not that good.

He's finished. In my opinion, it would be best for TNA to just simply release him, have him gone for a year, maybe he goes elsewhere, and if he doesn't go to WWE or get signed with that new promotion, bring him back. TNA have f***ed him over so many times, they had him heel, then he's the Global Champion laying down for the Hogan crew. Then he goes babyface, then he hates Nash, then he's friends with Nash, then he's part of the tag champions, then he and Nash break up, then he does nothing on tv, and now he's going backwards.
I like Eric Young, but TNA has killed him off.

YOu know I'd rather him be silly for a while and be face and then one show I want to see him just snap and take someone out almost doing a shoot-like promo saying they forced him to act silly and he won't do it anymore because it sucks.

Eric Young is the Milton of TNA ![](http://www.lostandfrowned.com/milton.gif) TNA is throwing everything at the poor guy to make him quit but Eric is such a super team player he won't do it.

I could never take Eric seriously as a main eventer. I think he's already gotten farther than his talent probably warrants.

My prediction: he'll continue to be a mediocre worker, resulting in lukewarm pushes. He'll never be a headliner.

We need a Cornette Face for the direction of Eric Young...

I loved serious Eric. I honestly would have bought him as a main eventer around that time. Why they've taken about 500 steps backwards with him I'll never know.

He's a great wrestler and can cut a good promo, but he doesn't have "it". He doesn't have that factor that will get fans to pay to watch him win or lose, he can certainly make them pop when their there though in a midcard position

Those saying that he's achieved all he's capable of are probably in the right; but again, with reverting him to semi-retarded goon mode, we'll likely never know. But as I said, Serious Eric was the only time I've ever enjoyed him.. every other stint I've been actively annoyed when he's onscreen.

I saw a movie last week at the Fantasia Movie Festival, it was called Air Doll and it was about a mannequin becoming alive. It wouldn't surprise me if they did something about that with his storyline.

I'm not sure, but I think I always felt this way because Wacky Eric tries too hard to be funny. I always wanted to pop him one because of his obnoxious mugging. Serious Eric was the one time where TNA actually allowed me to dislike the guy.
