Let's say if, something like, Vince screwed up the corporate balance sheets, forcing the SEC to completely shut down WWE forever as of that very moment.
Cena and the boys show up to the arena only to be turned away, not being told why the show was cancelled. Anybody that bought a ticket gets no refund. Anybody that bought tickets to a future WWE event gets no refund either.
WWE.COM and WWESHOP.COM return a simple 404 error. Anybody that paid for merchandise that hadn't shipped yet also gets no refund.
USA Network simply shows a black screen for 2 hours on that Monday Night. MyNetwork does the same on Friday. Of course next week the 2 TV stations get the point and put other shows in those time blocks.
What would happen from there? Would Vince figure out a way to help? Would TNA suddenly become massively popular? Would ROH or others benefit? Would wrestling cease to exist?
I'll let you guys continue from here.

the shows wouldnt be blank...after 2 minutes another show would begin to air...(sorry to be nitpicky)
It would be the end of a great era, but I think it would also be an exciting time.

They would just air 2 hours of Batista telling people that he was right and now he is the boss of a new promotion WUTS World Unlimited Title Shots.

I....would smile a bit on the inside. (This is coming from a diehard WCW mark as a little kid. And also because the WWE has been good in like six years.)

I fully expect that when I'm an old man I'll be saying "Back When I was younger our wrestling was run by a guy named MacMahon and it was called the WWE"
I think wrestling will still be around but I have a feeling it won't have anything to do with WWE

Vince: "Linda, get me my fightin' pants! Just like I did the first time, I'm about to make HISTORY!!!!!!"
*thirty minutes later*
*Vince McMahon sits in the back of a police car covered in blood, while Ted Turner's dead body lies in the background*
Vince: "Something went horribly wrong!!!!"

If he's like Vince McMahon was during his early days as "Mr. McMahon" being wheeled out by cronies telling people "I have the basketball, to fire you all, and that's the bottom line because Mr. Batista said so!", that would possibly be the greatest thing ever.

2 hours of Matt Hardy reading Jeffs old poetry in an empty arena.

Batista World Wrestling, where Batista just beats up action figures and cardboard cut-outs of his foes.
(snaps a Rey Mysterio action figure in half) "HA HA HA! I told you I'd rip your head off, Rey!"
(tackles a Randy Orton cardboard stand-up, then does the machine gun action over it) "YEAH!!!! Welcome to the BWW Pit of DANGER, Orton!"
It'll be the glorious new day we so richly deserve.

Honestly, that would be the last you'd see of major wrestling being massively popular for a long time.
Most networks wouldn't want to risk giving time to wrestling seeing that the biggest company went belly up and seeing that TNA doesn't exactly set the world on fire.
Wrestling would be relegated to indy circuit and sadly, many places would be left without any way to get wrestling.
Possibly, another company would get big in a few years.
But, there would be a chance that in ten years we'd talk about how "we used to be able to watch wrestling on TV"

I don't think the decision would go over well with one man:

"This Monday on TNT, recently bought by Time Warner from the former owners of the now defunct WWE, it's Florida Championship Wrestling! Tonight, we have Jake Hager vs Alex Riley, Harry Smith and TJ Wilson vs Lance Hoyt and Wade Bennet!" the shows wouldnt be blank...after 2 minutes another show would begin to air...(sorry to be nitpicky) It would be the end of a great era, but I think it would also be an exciting time. Replaced by a newly broadcast revival of: USA Night Flight!
